Who is going to test drive a C7?!?!

I drove a 2000 Corvette coupe at a GM Auto Show In Motion event.
Changed. My. Life.
I suspect that will be the only Corvette I ever test-drive.
I don't think I even sat in a C6 or saw one up close before I ordered one. I had a low-optioned C5 and it was just time for an upgrade.

I will test drive it the day the dealership gets one. I play in a band with the dealer's store manager and the bass player is the dealer's brother in law, and he came to my wedding. I will make sure they call me when the first one comes in so I can drive it.
How are things in Tampa? Hope the storm didn't get you to bad.

I won't need a test drive I drive a 5th gen SS Camaro right now part of the fun would be jumping in my first Corvette tailored towards my exact specifications and experiencing it for the first time.
You guys are pretty loyal towards your brand these cars can't be that bad considering I enjoy my Camaro quite a bit I feel like I would be upgrading no matter what. It just depends on the performance numbers for the vehicle. If it's a huge step forward I would feel like I am making a sound financial choice getting a Base Model at Twenty Six years old with no property ownership and nothing in savings. If it's not I may just make the move and get a performance model hopefully the next year or something around the 100k range and just spend my savings on a super car and move Downtown somewhere and get a loft

When I get an invitation I'll test drive the c7.
Usually after that....I buy.
I anticipate a winner with the c7

I couldn't act on that sentiment until I was thirty-one

I empathize with him with fondness because I felt that way too back in December 1964 when I was just 21. Still in US Army uniform on the day of my discharge, I drove a new '65 C2 silver convertible 300hp 4spd right out of Sunny Stein's Chevy (The Man with a hole in his Head) on 69th St just outside Philly, Pa. I plunked down my lifes savings of just over $1000.00 and picked up a payment book of $99.55 for 36 months. The best money I ever spent for 3 years driving pleasure and a lifetime of memories.

Test driving is going to be interesting depending on the dealership. They don't like to let people test drive Vettes to keep the mileage down.
I remember when I wanted to test drive a 2003 Coupe and they wouldn't let me, so I bought a Trans Am instead. It was stupid of them to not let me test drive the car. But how would I have been able to know if the Vette was actually any better than the Trans Am. In the end, they lost money.

But my money is somewhat guaranteed for the most part. Still next year is gonna be a good one and I feel like investing in a 100k car although fun is just dumb when I can secure so many other things.
/shrug Probably either a ZL1 or a base model my man

I will only road test the C7 if the design and interior is as good or better than my Z. The performance improvements will have to be above those of the ZO6 for me to pull the trigger. It will have to be the complete package or nothing.

Didn't test drive any of the three vettes I've owned.
Knew what I wanted and ordered them.
If they come out with a C7 I like/want and I decide to get one, I'll probably do the same thing - order one to my liking and just wait for it to come in.

In this case, the C7 will most definitely exceed the performance of my C5Z and therefore it's a no brainer for me.
