ZF was a supplier of Corvette Transmissions.

It has a high torque rating and "space saving".

One can only dream.

Maybe this is already in the C7, and this is ZF's version of Omega's bumper leak!

500 nM is only 368 ft-lbs so this isn't stout enough.

The Corvette transmission is by Tremec that's also found in the Viper.

A new ZF RBT is about $12K, thats for a new ZF in the Ford GT40 orientation.

Also Lloyd (RBT) will guarantee his rebuilt ZFs to 550 ft/lbs. Gives you an idea what he thinks of their limits. RBT has custom high-alloy steel gear sets, reinforced cases, 6-speed ZFs and down to 2.20:1 ring & pinion ratios (stock is 4.22:1)

A version of this type of transmission will certainly increase the 0 to 60 times. However, I still like the manual transmission with the third petal (clutch) on the floor. Selecting the proper gear at the appropriate time adds to the fun of driving. Granted they have a manual select mode, but is is just not the same. This is coming from someone who insists always, well almost always, on acquiring the latest and greatest

DCT/DSGs will make the auto faster without changing anything else. Like I had said in a thread before the difference between the Audi DSG auto and manual in the 0 to 60 time was .2. Pretty good for a 0 60 time. Ive had 2 DSGs and they shift so fast and you dont get out of your power band.

Make a track version and equip it with a Hollinger. That would rock.
