Default C7 Camaro stern gets a stern response from me!

If this is what they decided on... gag me with a dipstick. AWFUL!

If we wanted a Camaro ****-end, we would buy a Camaro.

Just sayin'.

That is awful!!!

It looks like a bad concept rear and they let the Pontiac Azteck engineer out of the closet. Rember how ugly that thing was?

Terrible! Will be keeping the C6 for a long time if C7 looks like that!

My wife agreed to buying a C7 if I sell my motorcycle but we both agree that looks like a Camaro rear end and won't be staying in our garage. I doubt this makes production but if it does, maybe it will look better in person.

While I don't hate it as much as some of you do, I certainly don't like it very much either.
There is a Camaro resemblance for sure but do keep in mind that the Camaro does not have those tall side pods coming off the rear fenders like the Corvette rendering does.

Speaking of those side pod thingies, is it me or do they vaguely/distantly resemble the jowls on a bulldog or boxer?

If the new C7 looks anything like the Jalopnik Renderings (shown above) then in my humble opinion GM missed the mark. I’m a “died in the wool Corvette Enthuse and owner”, but the Jalopnik Rendering is too much like the C6 (but Butt Ugly). Its too squared off in the rear end and the sharp edges suck. It looks too much like the Camaro in the rear. If I’m gonna spend the big bucks for a new C7 Vette that looks like a Camaro then I’ll spend the little bucks and buy a Camaro and get more bang for my bucks (ZL1). Bottom line, if this is the best GM can come up with for a new generation Corvette then they really screwed the Pooch this time. Long Live the C5/C6 is all I can say.

GM will just recycle as many parts as they can at this point (must be the economy)! I just never understood GM not trolling the many Corvette sites on the web and putting something out that true Corvette Boys and Girls really want? I do realize your never going to please everyone but that rearend is horrible and has been done already!

All of this speculation..... has gotten silly.
The new vette will be all about evolution based on the styling concepts out there in real time.

Bottom line: This is just not what the vette is gonna look like.

Basically take the conceptual direction from the Jag CX16 & the Chevy myriad concept as well as the Ferrari 458 spider, marry it with with the C6 styling cues and you'll have a rather spectacular looking C7.

The new vette based on the spy shots I've seen along with a little imagination is gonna be quite compelling and attractive.

You betcha...

I agree. Everyone is jumping to conclusions based on what someone else says the car looks like. I want to see pictures from GM, not these renderings of what it alledgedly looks like.

Very dissapointing...GM has to resort to another chevy for a design of a ICON? I love the Camaro but please. Glad I have a C6

Default Be patient!!!!

All you guys are in an uproar, the same things were said of the C5 and C6 renderings also. Everyone is quick to forget the BIG rearend the C5 had compared to the old C4. The ones rolling off the line will be sweet, and as always will have some similarities to concept but won't be exact.

The rendering in correlation with the spy photo's. makes it very hard to fully discredit what we're seeing from Car & Driver...

Have you actually LOOKED at the C7 spy pics of the real car, and then looked at the Jalopnik renders?????

I am guessing not, because you can clearly see that shape of the rear end on the real car is EXACTLY as shown in the renders, that ugly assed squared off shape

EXACTLY!! How the hell can anyone say no one knows what the real car looks like, when you can clearly see the spy shots match the shape of the renders.

People are in denial . . . .

Nothing good to say about the car, especially from the rear end. If it stays that way I think GM better be prepared for some ugly sales figures.

Only good news is the C6 values will probably go up.

I don't know.... looks pretty square to me. But I am still putting my hopes in a good-looking car.
