Default New Article about the C7

Hi all. I've just written a new article about the C7 and tried to sift the facts from the rampant rumors.

As always, questions or comments are welcome.

Enjoy!

Good article. I certainly hope you are correct in your analysis. A dramatically new design is, after all, what GM has said they are working on. Let's just hope they actually come through.

Do you believe it will have a dct? Any info on the engine, interior?

Interesting tidbit on the recent renderings.

As before - we'll just have to wait and see.

If the viper HP prediction is right, looks like the C7 will have to be a monster to compete. It appears the golden age of sports cars in going to even get better!

Good article. However, re: the previous post I do not believe GM is overly concerned about the Viper. The Viper was a perennial 1K units/year car and was, and will be, a niche car for buyers who preferred a more raw sports car. If anything as the article I think correctly points out the next-gen Viper will likely move more in the direction of the Corvette than the reverse. The Viper's formula led it right into the dustbin and GM hopefully has a better plan for the Corvette.

The Viper isn't competition as far as sales. It's a bare-bones race car. It hardly has any creature comforts. I'm shocked it has traction control now. The Vette is more luxurious in every way than a Viper, putting them in separate categories. In my opinion, Vipers and Vettes are apples and oranges. You're better off comparing the Viper to the Mclaren F1.
