I guess they think I'm too old for the next generation. Guess I'll just be an old man with a C6!

1. To me this is still speculation.
2. I find it interesting that they claim GM is designing a motor for a younger generation. My bet is most of those they claim to be targeting have never driven a Ferrari or type of car that has the motor they claim to be copying. In addition, my bet is many have never driven an LS motor. They are too busy trying to get more HP out of foreign V-6's & things like STI's.
3. The bottom line is to me an LS motor has low end torque vs the smaller, higher reving motor they might come out with. In addition, it might be more expensive to make & repair & beside someone thinking they are somehow more modern, I really do not see the advantage of them personally.

Thats folly on GM's part, they must not be aware that many young buyers with non LS cars are swapping the ls platform in their own cars on almost everything under the sun.

Like said before. The traditional corvette owner is old now and likely not to buy too
many more vettes. The younger ones that are attracted to the old school stuff are
fewer. So gotta go where the new market is. Have decided a couple of years ago
had it with vettes and just keep the C6. Like my trucks and BMW for daily drivings.
Too many cars now that can equal or better a vette and cheaper too.

i sorta like the idea. but i dont understand why they would do a twin turbo v8. a twin turbo v6 would be a better solution from an engineering standpoint. shorter. and you can get tons of power out of a v6 with a couple of turbos. seems like that would make placement easier.
also it seems it would be cost prohibitive to have a v8 twin turbo and old school v8 large displacement motors as options. especially these days when they dont sell so many.
and the cost has to go up, perhaps making a base v8 twin turbo cost as much as a z06 does today.
but adding power to a turbo charged motor is perhaps the easiest type of setup to play with.
