Still the best C7 design. GM build this please.

I have probably posted this on here before, but it's been a while back. I would love to see this in a smaller lighter than C6 design using a DI LS3 good for 475hp in the base Corvette. Sorry to repost the same pic, but I just can't help myself from being such a big fan of this design.

Looks like a retro back to the 60s model era. I think Corvette needs something a litte more modern looking to compete with the other supercars. I hate to say this; but if they keep on going back to the retro era; they will not sell a lot more Corvettes going forward at least worldwide. LOL!

I agree.
It is gorgeous, but it looks too much like what has come before. I think its time for a more dramatic change. C2 from C1 was dramatic, C3 from C2 was dramatic. C4 from C3 was enormous. C5 was a nice change. C6 just wasn't that big of a change in styling.
It is time. Just my $.02

I know a lot of thought went into this design, but the trend of design is not there. Trend is for short squarer curves not the long flowing curves, too much like a C3/C5 with a dash of C6 hybrid.
First, the front has too much overhand. I think the trend is cutting down the nose to a much smaller overhand on the front wheels. Second, way to large and too many air vents. If you put the smaller vent indents of the 63/64 Corvette this car would look better. Next the curves are out of scale and too large, cut back on the French Curves and make them more stealthy. The revolutionary look is form longer and square curves, not the large short curves. You got to put better wheels on the car, too retro. Finally to me the passenger cabin looks out of scale. Too much glass, cut back on the glass, more glass more heat more heat more A/C is needed. Mirror look like there off the C-5, need better desgin. Too much drag on the back of the car, reduce the spoiler effect. Windshield does not meet the Federal Standards needed for side airbag support, angle of the windshield is too steep, never be made that way because it has to meet DOT Standards.
I would like to see Corvette get away from RETRO what has already been done and take a more radical approach for design that lead us into this Century. I think you will get a lot of design cues if you look at the Caddy CTS-V, I am sure GM is taking some of the overall design and will employ it in the C7. Just my opinion....

That screams Vette!
How can someone say a base C5/6 looks more exciting than the pic
To each their own right?
IMO its awesome, bodies have been blah on Vettes since the C3 stopped production. Can see a little from each Gen on up in that car and finally wheels that arent butt ugly!
A Vette should be swoopy with some lines to it.
There is def. heritage and gen influence going on
Sorry but the C4/C6 bores me to tears no matter how good handling a car they are in comparison.
Id find a way to buy the one in the pic no doubt.
Yes thats the trend but its so boring, most new cars all seem the same level of blah visually where you cant tell them apart. That thing coming down the road, you know its a Corvette. Very distinctive imo.

Don't get me wrong...
I have spent a small fortune trying to make my coupe look like this concept, but there really isn't much difference between these two - just some exaggerated lines and curves. I do LOVE the side pipes though...ummm...I like the stretched front fascia as well...okay, I like the whole darn concept! Build it GM...
