Full-power seats with real lateral support.
The C6 seats suck, and the manual seatback adjustment is the flimsiest cheapest most rinky-dink piece of give-up bullshift slapdashery ever put into a sports car. It has no place in an Aveo nevermind a Corvette.
If that doesn't count as a NEW feature, then... direct injection.

Drifting
1. At least the power of the LS3 in a front mounted V8
2. Luxurious interior
3. Direct Injection
4. Thicker clear coat
5. No exotic look
6. And sorry, NO AWD for all the reasons mentioned in previous posts in this thread and:
More to "go wrong"
More drive train loss
More weight
More fuel consumption
More vehicle height
More $$$$$
IMHO, totally unnecessary. The ZR1 does a number on all the AWD vehicles out there. Keep it simple.
Okay, maybe if you want to drive up the side of a mountain in snow and ice with 4 studded snow tires.....

Mid engine. AWD would be nice as well, IMHO the way the car handles outweights the negatives posted in the previous post. And it's not like we're low on power.

better seats/interior as mentioned
refined motor to make sure it meets future emissions. Not unhappy with present HP, but just want to make sure the motor's are viable for the future. If that means slightly lower displacement and better heads/intake etc... then get to work GM.
keep weight down
not a fan of retro style either

Corvette should be GM's flagship sportscar and a test bed for new technology and performance. Think, what would Zora do?
* Traction
- AWD would be great to solve this. 911 Turbo, Lambo, GT-R
- Rear weight bias is another way to handle (mid-engine)
* Handling
- It handles great for traditional sports car chassis
- To get through corners faster - AWD (pull from fr. tires on exit)
* Transmission
- DSG is gaining critical seconds on 0-100 runs and on track.
* Weight/size reduction
- Helps MPG.
- Helps slalom and emergency manuevers, helps small AutoX
My vote, if staying traditional, get weight/size down, smaller engine, less HP, turbo, get rear weight bias up, manual. Lotus on steriods.
If full-on world beater, big HP, advanced full-time AWD w torque vectoring, DSG, V8.
Electric motor assist is another interesting option to store energy braking and release on corner exit. Also interesting to get to AWD system. Rumors indicate Nissan is looking at this for GT-R. Whatever they do, they need to get young people interested, not 50% geeser like me.

A Clamshell Hood W/A Split Window!
A Clamshell Hood is what I would like to see with a Split Window! That would be really cool, and oh, while they are at it, make it look like a Stingray again. Paint it Torch Red with a Torch Red & Black Interior like early 2K ZO6s. Just my wants, how 'bout yours

1. Real Sport Seat Option, think Porsche GT3 type seats.
2. Integrated front license plate area, the C6 is the ONLY generation not to have one. (Damn NJ laws)
3. I am happy with rear wheel drive and manual clutch.
4. Better interior quality.

Whatever technologies it takes for the C7Z06 to be the fastest production sports car on the Nurburgring... until the C7ZR1 takes it away.
Don't really care about interior.
