I get a kick out of looking at C7 concept pics.

But I doubt it will look much different from the C6. If it wasn't for the exposed headlights, I bet non-vette owners would even be able to tell the difference.

Yep back needs much work, even the front is not yet symetrical with the overall car.... interesting photoshop thought.

New image of back of C7 - Z57 - funny how that radical TRANSFORMER looks pretty familiar with a C6 azz.

I think any of us can pick good and bad out of just about any generation vette, myself included. It's hard to accept changes sometimes, like the fixed headlights on the C6 when introduced for example... but it's all just opinion... and over time, some of these things grow on you... I hated the vent on the new ZR1 when it first came out, now I love them.

Although I agree that it is a little dramatic... if the design team at GM wants the rear bumper to look like the one in the photoshopped picture, I think that's what we'll see... and I think many people who claim to hate it now... will eventually own one no matter what that bumper may look like to us now...

I think that the Corvette needs a major overhaul in the design department. IMO, it should definitely be wider, and there needs to be a little more flare in the fenders. --- The Camaro, Challenger, Charger, and even the Mustang have all incorporated past generation design cues into the new models. I think at the very least, that is one feature of the Stingray Concept that they will most likely use, because it's one of the only cars left that hasn't been re-made as a retro-modern car... and that is a very realistic feature to incorporate into a new, modern C7, while resembling an older C3-ish look...

If it was up to most people saying it's "ugly" etc, the car would never change. It would just stay the way it is! "Someone" has to think outside of the box, or we would never have any change...

Hmmm. I was just trying to show all the nay-sayers that this Transformers Vette is not that radical if you take the front and rear ends out of the equation. I'm not really wanting to have it look like a retro C3 but if done right, why not? I really cannot tell if this TV is wider or not...

I like the top picture. I hope the change is somewhat like this. Not to drastic.

I could not agree more. What happened to the sexy curves of the C6? This is one of the reasons I bought a C6. One of my friends even described my car as sexy. Although I could come up with some ideas on how to improve the looks, they would be subtle, but would still qualify as a new generation car. I do not like the rear of the concept car, although I think the rear of the car is a different car altogether. It bears no resemblance to a Corvette at all. This concept would qualify as FUBAR.

I think the factory could not build the rear of the car (given the price point of the current C6) with current line - since it looks like it is a one piece rear body. I suspect given GM is losing money every day all we will see is the front and rear restyled & minor revisions to fenders along with all the power plants just moving down: IE current Z06 now base engine ZO6 get ZR1 engine & if ZR1 get something new or refined.

Thanks. All I did was add the rear of a C6 and remove the back window bar that could never make it into production anyway.

BTW, here is the front that I mocked up from a C5...NO hidden lites though!
