Default Is it too soon for a C7?

I don't know about everyone else but I think it is way too soon for a C7. The shortest production run for a Corvette generation was the C2 with 4 years, after that is the C5 with a 7 year production. Since they have only had the C6 for 5 years I don't think they need to advance to a new body style. I like what they have right now and they should keep it for at least a few more years. But with the new Grand Sport I am not so sure.

It won't be too soon. It'll be another couple of years before we see it. By then there will be a lot of folks who are tired of the C6 and want something better.

I got my C6 in November 2004. I love it, but I'm not spending $60K to buy the same car again. GM wants my money, they need to give me something new. An incremental power increase and bodywork bloated out to fit wider wheels are not enough to get me to re-up, and definitely not with those same ugly headlights and lousy seats.

I'm hearing rumors that the C7 may possibly be introduced in 2012. I'm looking at purchasing a new Vette next year but don't want to do this if I can wait another 1 - 2 years for the C7. I'm so looking forward to driving a Vette again as I really do miss driving a sports car... sold my '93 Vette back in '00.

Yeah you got me on that one. I guess I meant 5 years on the C2 and 8 on the C5. My bad...
