Personally, I'm not a fan of this new concept that's going to be in the Transformers movie. I know some of you like it though. It made me wonder where most of you would rank it with all of the production corvette body styles that have been produced from strictly an exterior styling standpoint. This is going to be a long post, but here is how I'd rank them including a pic of my favorite year:
#1 Early chrome bumper C3
#2 C6 (yes, I'm biased)
#3 C2
#4 C5
#5 C1
#6 C4

Last place, and lagging wwaaayyyy behind: Stingray Concept
I hope I didn't offend anyone. I think every Corvette is beautiful... well most of them anyway
To me the C2 is no. 1 followed by the C1. The C5 and C6 fight for no. 3, followed by the C3 and the C4 in 6th place. I will wait to see the C7. Of course, I acutally salivated over the C2 as a teenager, so maybe that colors my thinking a tad.

Reason: left out the C3
1 - C2 (one of the most beautiful cars ever made, IMO.)
2 - C6
3 - C1
4 - C5
5 - C3
6 - C4
As for the concept Stingray Vette, well...I think the front looks too much like a Japanese car, and that big, flat rectangle spot in the center of the rear just looks meh.
The transformers movie age target is YOUNG children. Guess what young children would LOVE. A radically designed Corvette that looks like a sweet hot wheels car. I honestly hope they borrow a lot of cues from this car, especially the rear end.
I think the most hidious Corvette was the C4. Most american cars were ugly in the eighties though. That's when the import cars became essentially immortal.
The C2 coupe in my opinion is the most beautiful car ever designed. On the other hand, What was chevy thinking when they designed the C4, i don't know if I'll ever figure that out.
I've owned 12(13) of 'em including my current one, a C6 Vert that's due to be shipped off to Callaway in just over a week for their conversion; but here's my opinion..and in order of preference........
Yes, I think that Concept needs a little work too but basically it's the vette of the "future", or at least one very good possibility! I wouldn't change too much on that car.

Driven all the generations a good bit (my dad has one of each and I've had 2 C4s). My overall ranking:
#1 C2 (1967 coupe)
#2 C6 (ZR1)
#3 C4 (later coupe only, biased but love the profile, 'vert about DFL)
#4 C3 (68 or 69 vert)
#5 C1 (especially 1960)
#6 concept
#7 C5 (distant last, save for C4 'vert)
I'm one of the few lucky people who owns his absolute dreamcar. I would prefer the chrome bumper C3 over everything else. But the new concept, even thought it has it flaws, I think looks superb, especially the side view.
On the concept, the brake lights are cool but not traditional vette. I like the smaller headlamps-the headlamps on the c6 kill it for me. Looks like a viper. Hidden headlamps would be best.
I know that the C2 is considered the best looking Corvette, and it's definitely the most valuable collector's car, but I've always prefered the C3. The C2 is pretty, but it just doesn't "look fast" to me.

Caeruleus, I agree. The concept looks like someone in styling was trying too hard. It looks like a Batmobile. In my opinion, a more fluid body style would be a more widely marketable direction. When considering the published "World's most beautiful cars", it seems the more fluid styling stands the test of time. This concept is just too cut up. Given G.M.'s current economic condition, it's time to start over on the C-7 concept.
C-2 (owned a 67 400hp convertible, now own a 65-L-84 convertible)
C-1
C-6 (the Callaway speedster is very nicely done, imo)
C-5
C-3 (owned a 69 convertible and a 72 LT-1 air coupe)
C-4
