Interesting that its in keeping with the current knife edge design themes you see today and what we will see in the near future... that design distances itself well beyond the familiar look of Corvettes which may be good thing since Corvette has to appeal on a global scale now. I wouldn't call that Corvette beautiful but it could grow on you
Not really feeling it. It sort of looks like a C6 with a front and rear body kit. The side looks too similar. All those the people that the the c6 was really a c5.5 will think this is more like c6.1 or even a c5.9 (no diss on the c5 my favorite to all the designs or close second to the c6 z06 body). I guess i'll get a c6z06 and scrap the c7. I'm ready for the c8, hopefully gm will be around that long or the corvette will emerge with the NEW GM corp after bankruptcy.

No thanks...looks like they stole the Aston Martin's 2010 "one-77" front and the transformer 2 movie's stingray concepts rear.
1st. For the C7 i would really like to see Gm move the exhaust up higher and have a rear diffuser like most supercars today.
2nd. We need a DSG/Dual Clutch Transmission..like the Lambo's e-gear. It's a shame GM did not offer this as an option on the 115,000 dollar Zr1. I guess they don't have a GM branded DSG engineered yet...I would have opted for VW's DSG gear box. Do away with the automatic slushboxes completely please! DCT/DSG is the future..no torque convertors..no extra loss of power in the driveline.
3rd. We need a fresh new look, but keep the Corvette lines. Something more modern and bold like the new Camaro.
It definitely looks better than the concept being used in the new Transformers movie, but unfortunately it just looks like a C6 with a really ugly body kit on it. I think the current C6 looks great, so I hope GM doesn't change the looks much.
I like it. I agree that they need to move the exhaust up. It would be nice to see it come out before the front doors. I know they would never do that but a man can dream right?
Favors a Caddy too much to me. Dont like big toothy grill or that rear. I also agree it looks like a C6 with a few mods. Surely they will do better, much, much better.
OK, its not all bad, I do like the tapered raised portion in the middle of the hood, it looks taller than the C6.
Okay I'll take the bait... you think the C6 is ugly? I've never heard anyone say that before.
Well let me confirm it for you.....
The C6 is butt ugly and only slightly better than the C4. It's hard to imagine after the beautiful job the did with the C5.
I guess they're not quite ugly enough to keep me from buying one though. I will be in one by the end of next week. Believe me, I'm in it for the paddle shifted 6-sp auto, not the body.

Interesting. I've never heard anyone (individuals or press) say that the C6 was anything but better looking than the C5. And since I think that the C5 is a very nice looking car as well, I've always taken that as very high praise. They obviously look similar, the main differences being absence of flip-up headlights, slightly smaller dimensions (especially in the rear) and more curves throughout the body of he C6. I honestly don't see what's not to like about either car, although I always disliked the look of the hardtop (non-targa) C5.

Its not a bad looking car (C6). I just like the C5 better. I almost traded up to the C6 but the more I looked at it the less I liked it. I hope the C7 is a killer looking car. If so I will go with one.
And I put my vote in for going back to the pop up headlights....
I think the profile and rear look good. The front is okay. It might not be the best concept, but it doesn't look bad to me. It looks like a C6 with some Stingray concept features. I wouldn't have a problem driving one.

Gotta disagree here. The C5 looks okay by itself, but put it next to a C6 and it looks bloated and round. No prejudice here...I've owned both and love both cars, but there really is no comparison....the C6 owns it's ancestor. Oh yeah...pop up headlights??? C'mon......
