Default C7 Future

What do you guys think the future of corvette will be with GM stock taking a plunge over the last week? The stock is worth nearly nothing compared to what it used to be.

Usually when the the economy gets tough, they do away with something and restructure. I know that the corvette has been around for 55 years now, but it being a "fun" car, I wonder what its future will be.

Hopefully we wont see the end of the corvette! GM and Ford are in trouble. I know the market will bounce back, but I hope it does it soon to prevent too much loss to the company

GM and Chrysler are negotiating for a possible merger. Maybe the C7 will have a Hemi?!?!

I think that barring a miracle the C7 will never take place. Limited sales sport cars are not a high priority when a corporation is struggling for survival.

Default C7 Officially put on hold indefinitely by GM

Read it in my 10/20/08 Autoweek today...shelved indefinitely but no chance of corvette being cancelled according to Tom Wallace.

There will continue to be tweeks to the C6 thru at least 2012, and this is very much in doubt as well...could be longer than 2012
