Default So I did a thing

I just did the first short drive after installing the ECS kit. It's not tuned yet. I kept the RPM below 2,500 and didn't get into throttle more than 30%. But other than the throttle being less responsive, it drove normal. Is there any risk to just put putting around like this until it gets tuned? I'm scheduled for the tune on nov 23rd.

Shouldn’t hurt anything. BUT..... there’s no way I could just drive it like that. If I run out of meth on a Saturday night I won’t even drive my car on Sunday as I can’t give it any throttle. Like your situation

I wouldn't gamble with it.

As hard as it is, just park it until the 23rd.

I have the belt tensioners set for max tension and the belt feels about like a guitar string. Does it need to be that tight for a stock setup?

So this is the answer that i was looking for originally. The plug on the left is what i pulled out before i installed the SC kit. On the right is about a 100 miles of easy driving with the kit installed but without tuning. I was on the way to fouling out a new set of plugs.

Well it is a done deal, I got it tuned On Tuesday. The boost was worth the wait. If you ask my rear tires they’d say I’ve been having a little too much fun with it since the tune. Before the tune, I threw on one of those $250 eBay X pipes to wake up the exhaust tone. When it gets into the boost it sounds awesome. I had never seen the hood pull up that high when I got on it in the past. So this is what an additional 160 hp feels like. Any thoughts on what I should do next? I am only concerned about the fumes I smell when sitting at a red light. It’s not eye watering but it is there. Smells like the inside of an intake manifold for those of you that have ever opened one up. I did follow all the directions for rerouting the PCV and vents. The tuner at RPM Motorsport (wish I could remember his name) how the install looks and he said it looks professional. I don’t have a catch can, would that help?
