Aftermarket Lids - Power, Whine & Looks
Hello Everyone - long time member and multiple C6Z HCI car owner. We have developed an aftermarket supercharger lid that looks outstanding, adds power and increases that intoxicating whine. We'll soon be dropping our first vendor ad for these in the next few weeks and look forward to seeing what kind of demand this generates. The maiden voyage samples are being completed in both anodized finished and powdercoated finish as we speak.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Here's a sneak peak. I am not sure how the other guys are claiming 25-40 rwhp gains without a tune....we were relatively happy with the results. Our test mule was a 2017 Z06 on a Mustang dyno. Car is otherwise stock and on the stock tune.
Our product will have our logo etched in to both sides on the top of the lid. Real deal marketing images forthcoming in the next week. We will offer in a few anodized colors, primarily black...and are fine tuning our powder color assortment. Installation literally is <10 minutes and the unit easily re-utilizes the stock gasket without issue.

Pricing? Delivery time?

Pricing will vary depending on your desired finish. We are sitting on 50 machined units that are set to go to powder and will be receiving 90 more units by the 2nd week of August, most of which will likely be anodized.
Figure on a ~$900 price point give or take depending on your finish preferences. The anodized units will be fully anodized top and bottom while the powdercoated units will only have powder on top with the underside being plain machined.
We're working on establishing capability to sell directly from our site and that will be completed in the next 30 days. In the meantime, we will be accepting orders via PayPal and shipping from our warehouse in Wauconda, IL, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Chicago.
Next week a formal post in the vendor for sale section will go up. We really appreciate the interest and engagement for this product and will be introducing other products in the marketplace as well geared towards C6Z's and C7Z's.

How about a sound clip from inside the car being driven on the street? I'm about to make a decision on a lid. So far DSX is in front with a very consumer friendly price at around 600-700.

That is on our list of things to do, but we want the quality of the video to be high and we have not had the opportunity to do that yet and don't want to just do it with a phone. Having stood both close to the car and far away from the car when it was on the dyno, I can assure you the whine is dramatically louder. It sounded amazing. The owner of our test mule is giddy just talking about it. We are not about to talk about other people's products, but we are extremely pleased with our design, the material and machining quality and the finish quality of our products even relative to what else is available in the marketplace. Feedback so far from consumers has been outstanding as well.
Thanks for the interest!

The pics of the lids look awesome! I might get a Z06 take off for my stingray. I'd definitely be interested in this. What is it about the Hellcat's that make them whine so much? Is it the lid height, or is there something more to it?

As for the Hellcat blower sound, we cannot speak to specifics, but it is clear Mopar/SRT/Dodge did everything it could to appeal to the masses with those vehicles and enthusiasts. The power, the different color keys, the blower whine, the Demon, etc...they took a much more spirited approach in doing little things to make their SRT versions more appealing to gear heads. Eventually we are going to investigate those lids as well, but for now it's the LT4, working on a LSA version right now and also valve covers to pair with the supercharger lids.

I know about the perils of putting a supercharger on an LT1. I already have an ECS on it. And to buy a Z06.. Your talking 80k right now.. Nope! I'd be better off getting a Hellcat.

Understood and agreed. I have never seen the market like it is right now. Pricing is completely out of control. Hopefully it normalizes in the 2022 season!

I paid almost 90k for my 2017 z06. It's a 3LZ, exposed carbon, vert. 6k miles and 1 of 52 with Kalahari interior. The car is pristine and 4 years later, still smells of new car leather inside. I thought about a hellcat. Way too many of them out there. I didn't want to "just be another hellcat" so I went with the Z06. Literally see one on every road around here. They don't impress me anymore. But the vette, its timeless.
