Default Just how much can a Callaway C7Z make? well we found out!

Our customer Tony shipped us his A8 Callaway C7Z that he recently got back from them as he knew he would want more power than their package offers. He did the callaway because he always dreamed of having one and even though he knew it wasn't big power he loved the overall options they offered to start with. This car is outfitted with the TIKT front cooling kit (which in person is absolutely beautiful) and their 757 HP package. The car baselined 540 rwhp and 623 rwtq which is about 10'ish more than we typically see out of a C7Z A8 on 91. Tony wanted to max out the blower and so we did our proven heads/cam package we do for lt4, 2300 blowers and decided to have the blower ported too and see what we really could get out of it. The results were in my opinion incredible especially given the mod list and ZERO METHANOL. The major highlights of the build consist of the following.

Our Heads/cam package which includes dod delete utalizing johnson lifters, rocker arm trunion upgrade, head studs, etc.
Our 5'' CAI w/ 103 throttle body
2'' longtube headers
Our low side fuel system
LPE high pressure fuel pump and FIC 30% injectors
Upper/lower pulley upgrades
Ported supercharger with extensive work done to it.
Flex fuel sensor
Mighty mouse catch can
He can run up to E50

In addition to these he also had us install an ethanol gauge behind the radio to monitor the E content along with the DSC shocks and controller, lg sway bars, katech billet trans pan.

The final results are shown below overlaid with the baseline. If you are looking to take your callaway to this level or even more moderate please shoot me a message and we can discuss how we can achieve your goal!

Wow that’s some very impressive gains! My understanding is that the Callaway blower is made for them by Edelbrock, basically an E Force 2300 kit with an additional intercooler. You guys really woke that Callaway up. I would have expected the Callaway 757 to make 650ish whp before you guys worked your magic. Sent you a PM

I just seen this on YT earlier. I thought it was a Z06 with a ZR1 blower haha.
I never would have guessed the little Edelbrock would have that must juice in it.
Do you have any pics of the ported inlet and Im guessing you guys ported it?

I’m surprised it ran out of high side on E50. Were you commanding 2800psi out of the high side?

it didn't run out at e50. It actually ran out at 70% when pressure dropped but at e50 itll make the same power and that's an easier blend ratio to manage.

Wow that is impressive thanks for sharing.
Baseline seems very low - any idea why?

91 octane with everything else stock. It's absolutely all i would expect. They ping stock on 91 so throwing a larger blower on them isn't going to do you any favors.

Yeah, I have a hunch... Something was wrong with the car which was undiagnosed, but "cured" as a result of whatever mods were done in addition/on top of the Callaway package. The SC757 cars I have seen dyno, post in the 640+-range for RWHP.

Nice numbers though by CPR Joe.

Wow, The callaway package only produced 10whp over stock for a 20k upgrade? Lol. Don’t understand why anyone would spend that kind of money instead of just upgrading to a 2650 and getting a custom tune for a lot less and make more HP.

Joe to you recall what upper and lower pullies used??

they come with 2.62 upper from Callaway and stock lower..

I assumed you keep the 2.62 and just curious what lower??

I have similar setup with 15% lower and I’m around 20lbs
