Default 2015 Stingray 6k miles Black $51,900

Hello...new to the forum. My dad is a vette guy. He's now 82 and ill. His driving days are past him..and he and my mom decided its time to sell his c7. I'm managing the sale for him. His car is a beautiful '15 C7 1LT package. He had a c5 before that. FWIW, I had an '02 Z06 which I do miss from time to time. I detailed my dad's car and know it well...particulars follow... I copied from my other active FS postings so apologies if some of this stuff is a bit basic or not tailored to a more vette savvy crowd... *More detail following the pics below* Thanks for your time and any interest/leads.. -Paul

VIN: 1G1YB2D70F5107375
Date of Manufacture: 10/14
Color: Black/Black
Transmission: 8-Speed Automatic
Trim Package: 1LT
Miles (odometer): 6,275
Owner: 1-Owner car
Title: Clean; Title in-hand
Glove box: All original manuals, window sticker; 2 key fobs
Contact: Paul Stephen; Email: pstephen996@gmail.com; Cell: (253) 802-6945;
Car Location: Birmingham, AL (Columbiana)
Pictures of C7:

This Stingray’s Story: Car purchased NEW by Seller (original owner) on 3/26/2015 from Asheville Chevrolet Dealership in NC. Owner (and primary driver) was age 75 at time of purchase. Pleasure driven only (mostly running to/from church on the back roads of Flat Rock, NC). Never tracked (NO: HPDE, auto-x, drag strip, or any other off-road venue). Pampered. Garage Kept… Like a modern-day Barn Find.. Car sat in garage for last 3 years (due primarily to owner’s age and deteriorating health); battery tended and started/run periodically; Drive from garage to main road (25 mph) is ~2 miles…couldn’t ask for a better set-up of light acceleration/coasting as fluids come to operating temperature for each drive! No accidents. Bone Stock – no mods. Premium fuel use only. Car resided with owner at all times..in NC until late 2021 and then to new home in Birmingham, AL. Dealer Serviced at Boyd Chevrolet in Flat Rock, NC.

Reason for selling: Owner is now too old to drive

Seller and Seller Approach: Seller’s son (me) executing sale for father. Seller is providing exceptional transparency...1-owner insight on the life and pedigree of this C7. In return, looking for a straight-forward, no-nonsense buyer who appreciates the detail and associated value of it, knows the market, and respects our mutual time. Seller’s son will vet buyers through phone/email first and then set up time to show the vehicle. This C7 is an exceptional example.

Car Care & Maintenance:

· Garage kept. Rarely driven in rain. Not a daily driver

· Hand-washed (never thru car wash)

· Exterior Detailed (7/29/2022) including Griot’s speed shine spray w/ synthetic clay bar application; Griot’s Paint Correction cream applied with Griot’s dual-action orbital polisher; finished with Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze (Germany), a 100% acrylic-based for up to 12 months protection; Interior cleaned 7/22/2022.

o Active Fuel Management (AFM) – Unobtrusive cylinder de-activation of four cylinders when load conditions make it conducive to saving fuel. ~29mpg Highway (~535mi range) in certain Driver Modes.

o Lube System (“LOMA”) – higher volume, higher-pressure oiling system

o More here: https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/13...let-gen-v-lt1/

· Exhaust: 3” stainless, 4-polished stainless exhaust tips; nice sound, especially cold-starts!

· Driver Modes: Rotate Driver Mode Dial to select 1 of 5 modes: Weather; Eco; Tour; Sport; Track

· Traction Control (T/C): C7 regulates rear-wheel spin unless T/C is turned off (1 press of the Driver Mode Dial to turn T/C off/on)..default T/C setting is “on”

· Stability Control (S/C): C7 has yaw sensors and other tech to detect car “spin” and apply braking to any of the 4 wheels to keep the car straight. De-activate by holding down the driver mode for ~5 seconds..default S/C setting is “on”

· Other Performance Variables adjusted for each Driver Mode include: Throttle Progression; Transmission mode; Active Fuel Management; Exhaust Mode; Steering Effort; Active Handling Stabilitrak; Launch Control; Traction Control; Cluster Display

GLWS! Great looking car. Non Z51 LT 1 car it looks very well loved. Seems like trade in values for these cars have headed south in a hurry. Hope you get a buyer that will take very good care of it.

Default New Price... $50,400

I'm a newbie...and haven't figured out if I can update price in initial thread...anyway, i've lowered price to $50,400 on all FS forums for this car. Entertaining reasonable offers. Manheim Market Report (MMR) is $48,900 for this car..a good proxy for what dealers are buying/selling for at auction currently...but I would really like to find the right buyer for this car. Thanks for your time.

The sticker shows the car was purchased with a transparent top. Is that included in the sale? I did not see it mentioned anywhere.

Thanks for highlighting this, RacerRik. Yes, this C7 has the transparent roof option... but only that roof (I don't have 2 roofs for this car)... I will call that out better in my materials (again, appreciate you highlighting this)...as from what i understand now this roof panel in higher demand given Chevrolet no longer making this accessory....

Thanks Kn38ms.. Yes, "10" is right. Super clean car!
In terms of consumables:
* Yes, tires are original... I've included a pic of the sidewall where the Michelin tire code is 3214 (Aug 2014 manufacture date)... Car was purchased in Mar 2015...so ~7.5 years on them since purchase. I don't have a current reading of tread depth... paperwork I have from Boyd Chevrolet dealer service on 6/30/21 (odo 4622) was "7" for front/back...
* I've included pics of each brake pad...plenty of pad left. Same service (6/30/21) indicated "9" for all pads.
* Yes, triple flush done by Edwards Chevrolet (Birmingham, AL) on 11/23/21
* In driving car from Flat Rock, NC to Birmingham, AL (when my folks moved to Bham), my brother thought he felt a vibration. We had Chevy dealer in Birmingham service it (11/23/21)...~$900 for triple flush, filter, fluid. Post flush, no vibration what so ever. I drove the car in Aug 2022 and it runs perfectly.
* Re Coolant, I don't have any paperwork to confirm that has been flushed and the Carfax doesn't indicate either...so i'd assume original coolant.

**New Price $49,500 ** To compensate for original tires (still a lot of life but I understand the age concern) and other consumables. I have some dealer buddies and access to Manheim auction data. Latest Manheim Market Report (MMR) ... a proxy for wholesale pricing... is ~48,800. Would prefer to go with a 'forum guy' to find a home for this really nice C7...

Default New price... $50,900

Updated price across autotrader, cargurus, and c/l.... a bit counter directional... lots of dealers tripping over themselves to relieve me of my burden...at $42k... For that price, i'll take it off my dad's hands myself and add to my own garage to keep my 997T and 970GTS company Certainly willing to negotiate with someone who truly loves corvettes and will appreciate this ride!! Thanks for your time and interest. -Paul

I think you should do just that!

After reading your presentation and looking at the pictures my thought was keep your fathers car in the family somehow. I hope all works out for your Dad and you as well. Great looking car and well done presentation of a for sale vehicle. Best of luck
