Have you ever seen these dealer fees before?

Hah! Basically that means you're paying for the car to be trailered from the auction ($600), the paperwork time and effort ($149), new tires ($1500), and their cost of making it GM certified ($799).
They do have to pay GM for that process of certified... so basically you're paying $800 for an extra year of warranty

I stopped worrying about what fees a dealer charges. I negotiate an out the door price. They can arrange the numbers anyway they want. Free piano with purchase of bench.

This car is a 1LT "Biscayne" as indicated by the fifth vin digit "B" Also has no wheel option. Extra charges are simply profit, expenses are part of doing business, duh? Bottom line is what matters but nevertheless I would run from these clowns.

Yup
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...26755838&Log=0 total rip off!
a. Neither person involved (salesperson, closer/paperwork fellow) said
they had the authority to waive it, I politely asked for someone who
did and it was waived by the salesperson
You and I know how often dealerships (as well as any institution dealing with sizable sums of money such as banks, mortgage institutions, etc.) will find imaginative ways to add costs to you, either buried in the paperwork, expecting a level of apathy after the negotiation process takes place or explaining "everyone does this".

the $100 or $150 dealer fee isn't unreasonable in my opinion. The salesman probably operates on commission, but there's still an office worker that does all the paperwork, notarizes the stuff, and then has to fedex is to the state.. and the state probably charges them some fees to process the title and then mail it back to you in your name.
but that dealership is a joke tacking on those outrageous fees

So the TRUTHFUL price is $48013.50 for a 2014 Base, A-6, 1LT coupe. I believe for around $3K to $4K more, you can buy a brand new, 2016 A-8 coupe from a forum dealer. Not a difficult decision.

Dealer Doc fees are supposedly the law in North Carolina so you have to be careful during negotiations. If they have a dealer doc fee they supposedly are required to charge the same fee to each Customer. However, you can get them to up the price of a trade in by the amount of the Dealer Doc Fee or to reduce the price of the vehicle. I consider dealer doc fees a sharp stick in the Customer's eye so if they insist on charging me a doc fee they won't be selling a car to me. There are too many other places where I can purchase without paying a fee.

My '09 Harley Ultra was a totally different story; I wound up getting it in Portland OR and shipping it back here (Las Vegas). Both the LV area Harley dealers are owned by the same people and they wouldn't budge a dime plus tons of unreal fees and charges.

Dimmitt has always tried to screw anyone at the back end of the deal. I did one of those spot deals with them. Agree on the deal.mtake the car home and come back the next day to do the paperwork.
I went over the paperwork and the deal was 4K more. They said they had made a mistake but it was still a great deal.
I walked.
Years later I went in again with a couple quotes from other dealers. Told them I wanted the same deal. They had the combo I wanted.Told the sales guy the car he wrote it up took it too the mgr. I was told to come back when I was serious. I went to a dealer an hour away. Walked in and did the deal.
I don't bother to even go talk to them anymore. Buyer beware.
