Ridiculous mark up!

Seeing this in Vegas too.
I found a 2015 Z06 at Findlay in Vegas that is spec'd pretty much exactly as I would want. The online chat said they wanted sticker, so I asked how much is sticker, they said 128k. I replied that the car doesn't sticker for that much.. blah blah..
Anyway, after calling them to cut to the chase, they have a 20k market adjustment as well. I even had a local dealer call and see if they would do a trade, but they wouldn't do that either. Crazy.
I don't mind waiting, and at this point perhaps a 2016 will make more sense anyway.
Good luck out there,
Steve

I had a custom ordered Z06 with a Z07 package. White with red interior and a few other options here and there. I had to back out since I am in the process of buying a house. They only want sticker of 96k and shipping wouldn't be near as bad as a 20-30k markup. Amazing car, just bad timing on my end. If you are interested call Gary at 704-787-1044. He is located outside of Charlotte, NC

That's awful! I know dealerships selling for under MSRP...$1,000 and better. One even sold an ordered A8 Coupe for $7,000 under (basically what supplier pricing would be).

mark up
Yeah, John L. Sullivan in Roseville Calif. has a 2015 ZO6 marked up $49,995 OVER MSRP. You can see the ad on www.corvetteblogger.com
Also in my immediate area is a local dealership (Stockton) that has a Blk ZO6 for $135k, MSRP is $101. Another dealer in the Bay area has one marked up 30....that seems like a real good deal. ha ha ha:

Markup
When I bought my first Z06 in 2001, there was a 10K markup. I told the dealer "so long", and left. Within hours they called me agreeing to sell it for the actual window sticker price. It was the only one available in this city. These markups are scams.

My Local dealer only sells for MSRP which is good, but has limited allocation of Z06 Corvettes. Bought my last Vette in NH and will buy there again. If I can get a 2016 Z06 at military price or better I’m in. Zoom..Zoom

When I purchased my Z06 it didn't matter if I cared less about the money or not I wasn't going to pay MSRP let alone over it. I know you won't get the same type of discounts you would on a generic vehicle but it still makes no sense to pay a markup.

Markups=greed. Look at the most successful Vette dealers in the country, do they charge markup? NO, IN FACT THEY SELL FOR UNDER MSRP!!!
The extra money these greedy dealers make on a few cars, doesn't come close to being worth the damage it does to their reputation among car buyers.

There are many many people on this planet that $30K to them is like $300 to us, just not enough $ to worry about and it won't make one iota of difference to them.
Fortunately most of those people don't see (or care) about the incredible value that GM offers with the C7 so they are often looking at poorly performing $200K+ cars.
I have a close childhood friend that just spent $175K modifing his Lambo. That's just some parts and a built twin turbo motor. Clearly his budget and mine are a bit different!
