It should be easy for a dealer to sell a Stingray to someone else. Why would they not give you the deposit back?

How much was your deposit and will Kerbeck not return it?

Wow....to silverc6's point...that's a very saleable configuration...stuff happens sometimes in people's lives...why wouldn't they give you your deposit back as they can definitely sell it to someone else...seems pretty hard a$$ed to me...good to know about their policies...

If it was 7spd I might have considered it...good luck to you, I'm sure you will find someone...

You might want to verify that you cannot get your deposit back - many states have laws requiring dealers to return deposits.

Wow that is BS, I get it if it was really custom or if they were not selling well, but they are selling.

Lesson learned to go with Tommy Jr

Unbelievable...no return of deposit on a C7 that could sell quick. Um, remind me not to do business with Kerbeck--no thanks

Bad, bad business practice and I would call on him

What were the terms when you placed the deposit? Do their documents state the deposit is "non-refundable? If so, while you may wish your deposit would be returned, you signed the paperwork and sent the money. Is Kerbeck at fault?

That is awful....

This is a car that could of been built for stock... no weird combos.. and has Z51.....This car would sell all day long..ESPECIALLY since they are one of the largest Corvette Dealers in the world.

I think that's BS you need to find a buyer.

It is called Doing the Right Thing, does not matter if he signed a contract or not. Want repeat business, you take care of your customers.

When the OP is looking to buy a Vette another time will he go to this dealership? Most likely not...

Will some of us looking to buy a C7 go to this dealership after this story? Maybe not...

Businesses that have a loooong view on customer relationships don't make the mistake of doing things for short $$$

Here is the true colors of your oh holy forum dealer... An everyone talks so bad about local small family owned dealers.

This is the biggest corvette dealer in the world and they are doing this.

You might want to with hold judgement before you slam a reputable dealer because there is ALWAYS another side to the story. I don't think Kerbeck became the LARGEST Vette dealer in the world by screwing people out of their deposits. And does MacMulkin have the same policy when it comes to a specifically ordered car?????

When did people start thinking deposits should be refundable? Whats the purpose of a deposit if you can back out anytime with no recourse? Think I'm going to go order a new Aventador tomorrow. Ha
