Default My wife said I can get a C6 Z06, sort of....

I just emailed my wife (we are both at work) the new C6 Z06 and she emailed back that I can buy it! We just have to sell all 6 vehicles we currently own and I have to take her out to dinner! I love my wife!

Wait a second! That means she would DD the vette to work and I would be stuck on the bike! Now I see what she is up to!

Just had to share,
Kerry

If your avatar is a picture of your wife why would you ever want to leave the house?

Last year my wife said I could get a new C5 and I did in June.

Then she wanted wood floors and we had wood floors put in upstairs and down (not the cheap stuff) and we have paint the entire inside of the house.

Now everyone is happy

Ding ding ding! Tell him what he's won Jonny! And no Anglina Jolie is not my wife.

As for the floors, I was lucky that the C5 was her dream car so no new hardwood floors were needed. At $75k+ the C6 would take some life changes. Pedaling the bike to work in the snow wouldn't be fun but the weekends could make up for it!

Took out a home equity loan to pay for remodeling the inside of house so I could keep my current vette. Wife was not interested in hearing about the C6 Z06. I'm learning to choose my battles.

I told my wife I wanted to get one in about three years. She looked at me like I was out of my mind and said why don't you just get it now?

I told her that I was guessing that in three years the ceramic brakes, paddle shift, three valve/cylinder heads and maybe a removable roof would be available.

Her next comment floored me:

Well, when that happens, just trade the first in on one of those.

I remember my wife telling me once that she thought that a Corvette was a very impractical automobile.

I wonder how she’s doing these days?

I'm surprised no one's brought this up yet, but you come across as not being able to afford it. In the same breath you tell us you own 6 vehicles???

This is getting really off topic for this forum but...

It really depends on the vehicles. My 1969 VW bug (almost done restoring), a rusty old land cruiser, my 99 ford ranger and the 91 Suzuki GS500 are all paid for. However my wife's '03 Mazda and the 99 C5 corvette are financed, hence why we would need to sell the collection to pay for the Z06. Put another way a new Z06 would have a loan amount equal to more then half that our home loan! It would be cheaper for me to put a 427 in my C5, but not as cool.

I see this is a standard nation wide. Got the okay for the vette. Finished the transaction. Then the Mrs. said now on to the Benz dealer.
I wish it was just floors.
