Default Adding compression and meth, how much more compression :D

Alright guys Ill be running on 93 octane and meth.. n/a setup. making 611rwhp/565rwtq with stock compression..

Question is, should I go with 12:1 or 12.3:1, those seem like the most common used.. Ive seen higher, but I do plan to eventually road course the car and dont want to be too risky..

Whats your take, and your guess what itll now make with the added compression and meth?

Thanks!!

Default Meth dependent

If you plan on being totally meth dependent I would go higher . 13:1

Had a friend recently running 12.8:1 on his C6Z w/ 93 and Meth. Car runs like a bandit!

What kind of mods got you 611/565 on stock CR ? That seems high for not bumping up the CR.
BTW I assume your tuner will program the tune to pull timing in case of a meth pump failure (as do most FI set ups). If so I'd go 12.3:1 ...meth will give you the octane for that CR.

Anyone? I was hoping this would get me to 640+rwhp. so a 30rwhp bump.. I would think thats possible with 1.3pts compression and meth. anyone care to comment?

You're not going to get 30+ out of a point bump in static CR and meth on an NA setup. You can gain some, but 30+ is a different cam kind of number. A bigger bump stick with the added compression and meth would do it though.

Oh really, i thought 25-30rwhp would be achievable with 1.3pts and meth. my cam is a decent size already, not sure if I want to go with a bigger one. what do you think is realist for the 1.3 and meth?
thx for the post

If you raise your static CR, a cam with more overlap will be soaked up by the added Compression. You have a stong LS7 combo right now, another 30 is going to be a struggle. It can happen, check out John B's setup; but it'll take a combo of the right parts to get there. Your Static compression and Dynamaic compression will both need to be taken into account. Your Static around 12-12.3 would be nice, with a Dynamic compression ratio right around 8.8-9. With that combo I believe you'd be at 640 wheel.
