Maybe they're imaginary C6Zs.

no I'm about to turn sixteen i know I'm acting like i have a vette an some i don't thats because i thought it would be easier for people like you that probably know a lot more than me to answer a question about a vette with the parts i know i want instead of having to imagine all the parts on the car

Fair enough. I'd suggest buying a car first, then start posting about mods. I say this because a C5,C6,C6z06, etc. are not normal 16 year old's cars, especially looking at insurance premiums.

to the OP. An 06Z should cost around 40K with about 20-25k miles on it, IF IT'S CLEAN. If its rough it will be a few thousand less. These cars have just about hit their "bottom price" for now. I mean really, where are you going to get this kind of look in a 505HP 3150LB 427 motor car for under 40K.

Sure there are deals out there for an 06Z for under 40K, but be careful, probably a tracked car and needs work.

If you find a clean car you're gonna have to pay at least 40k for it, even more if it has an extended warranty and some work done to it.

If you're shopping for Z06's under 30K, I highly recommend you turn your attention to C5 Z06's for something clean with lower miles.

Not to mention OP, stay away from that website...full of scammers. Just google vettehounds fraud or scam. You'll find plenty of examples. Remember the saying; "if its too good to be true...it usually is."

If I had owned this car when I was 16, I'd be dead. Wisdom is the only thing keeping me alive (knowing when to slow down, when to take it easy, etc.), and experience is the only thing that can get me over 180MPH without the aforementioned death.

Just because you could, you seriously need ask yourself if you should. And buying the car is one thing. Being able to afford the maintenance, gas and insurance on this beast is something else entirely (not to mention speeding tickets ). I'm 46 years old and sometimes wonder if I bit off more than I could chew.

Of course, that's none of my business. But good luck.

A lot of power for a young kid and his 1st car. Good for you if get 1, but hope you know how much money it is to keep these cars up and running.

I'm not going to lie.. I'm 28 now and this car is a handful. When I was 16 I thought I was the greatest driver in the world (I still think quite highly of my driving skills... lol). If I had this car at 16 I can promise I would have at least totalled it. But more power to you if you do get one, just practice your driving at the limit far away from anyone else on the road and make sure nobody is in the passenger seat.

When I was selling my 03' Whippled Cobra I got the attention of a potential buyer, till he told me he was still attending high school and this would be his first car. I declined and gave him some advice. Just my .02 Even those that have a lot of driving experience have quite of bit of respect for this beast.

I'd be very wary of under $30K C6 Z's. Being so young I'd check out some C5's as a first car. It's still better than 99% of what's on the road. Much lower cost, and insurance. Then move up in a few years.
I daily drive a C5 and the C6 z06 is just for fun.

Good for you! If you've got your head on straight enough to save that long then go for it, just don't kill yourself. Real easy to do at that age.

Or just a base c5 even better. The later c4's have a good look too.
