Pretty much any 20 non-DR will be useless for drags

Invo's suck and you'll always struggle to put power down in 1st with them. On the street I've had em spin in 4th at 125+ mph.
I think the C7 Z06 will come out with some much better options for 20" rear.
Michelin tires (Pilot Super Sport tires for the Z06; Sport Cup 2 tires with the Z07 package). P285/30ZR19 front , 335/25ZR20 rear.
I'll be getting one of these 2 options for my next tire.

You're not going anywhere fast on 20" Invo's......sorry
Even 345/30/19 Invo's spin easily with factory power and a reasonably prepped track.
I've run on my 335/25/20 PS2ZP's, which performed WAY better than the Invo's. My Michelin Sport Cups were the closest to being a sticky drag radial, but the sidewall is so stiff you risk severe wheel hop and a broken axle if they do break loose.
If/when the Michelin Super Sports come out in ZR1 sizes, that's probably going to be the best street tire, excluding drag radials, that can get good grip at the track which also gets reasonably street wear.

I've made 3 passed on 20" invo's. Even with a slow creep to full throttle it just breaks the tires loose when you get to WOT, in 1st. Although I didn't try to lower the air pressure any.

Not very good, lol. Could do better with practice launching, but not really even worth going back to the track with tires this bad.
1/4 mile, Really hot day. First 2 passes just spun and spun, lol.
Last one babied it in 1st.
60 around 2.3 , high 11's and 128 mph. Pulled great on the big end.

Running 20" Invos on a drag strip is like running a 100 meter dash in combat boots. Sure,it can be done....but why would you?
Invest in a pair of 18" C5 Z06 wheels and set of DR's if you want to see what your car is capable of.

Although your analogy gave me a big chuckle , 17" C5 Z06 fronts with Hoosier's would be even better.

With your power level and street tires on the track you're more likely to break something from wheel hop than cut a decent time. It's fun in theory, but you have a rolling burnout machine unless you get some drag radials or slicks.

Not so much. For an all purpose tire, they're one of the best you run on these cars. Don't blame the tire, blame your diameteer...20 inch wheels are what suck. On 19 inch Invos at 606rw, I actually get a fairly decent hook in 1st if I roll in smooth and the tires/pavement are warm. Can get full hook in second if I come off the clutch easy on the 1-2 shift.
You truly can't judge the performance of any tire, of any compound, based on a 20 or 25 series sidewall. Traction goes up exponentially by increasing sidewall diameter. Even your average 17" all season tire with a 45 series sidewall and drag-strip pressure is going to out-sixty-foot a 25 series "DR".

After reading all i could about that tire for a "20" inch wheel i steered away from the Invo and decided on the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup.
Love the tires so far!
