Default Sold my Vettes

96 collectors edition and 08 z06. First time in 28 years without at least one vette

I loved the z06 but the extended warrant was coming to an end and without definitive factory direction on the valve issue I decided to go in another direction.

I've followed the saga pretty closely and understand that SS is probably a safe way to go, or making the wiggle test a premaintenance item but I didn't like the idea of taking on the responsibility for a flaw that wasn't being adequately or honestly addressed by the factory.

Love the forum and did the lifetime gold thing to show my appreciation. I intend to stick around and see how the valve issue turns out. I hope there eventually is definitive resolution to this issue.

Also want to keep my eye on the next gen z, but not being a first year buyer of a new model, this will be a few years down the road.

Regards All

I went with a nicely optioned brand new Audi RS7.

After having gotten a bit older and more arthritic I wanted something easier to get in and out of. I quickly ruled out the M5 but was considering the M6, and the AMG E63s, and the AMG CLS63.

Motor trend and car and driver both rated the Audi higher. The videos below are what convinced me.

This is with the APR tune! which adds 125 hp and 180 trq and takes it to mid 10 sec qtr mile

tune = no warranty on your new car.

Best of luck - I like Audi's

Nice! Wish I could swing one as a DD, instead I hopped into a 3.0T A6 last month. Not at all the same beast but welcome to the euro club!

Good luck.
A great car I agree but slower in a straight line and came in last compared to the audi and porsche in the motortrend test

I also just bought an amg package ML for my wife and wanted someone different.
