But no worries. Sounds like they are not available and that my meager $100 is insufficient.
Ran a quick search, couldn't find it. Theoretically the lifters shouldn't have much impact on valvetrain stability at typical LS7 RPM.

Longevity, with aftermarket components, might be another issue (bigger wheel, better bore clearance, better leakdown, etc).

I was going to run it in a 6 liter build, but never did use it. I pulled it out of my Z a few years ago.
Great, that is very similar to what I was going to send Jason, I am going to use .340 lobes. let's just go with that cam if that works for you.

Whats going to happen if Katech sees results that are better than the OEM valves and starts recommending these new hollows in their setups??

When customers call them and ask Jason for quotes or advise using these new valves what is he going to tell them?

This is EXACTLY the kind of BS that caused the original problems. Most of us have open minds and want to know what is best. If you don't, then please move on.

It seems to me that you're afraid you might find that there were better choices, maybe not. Hopefully you made the right choice.

That's putting it mildly. We need to head this crap off at the pass. If he truly cared he'd maybe pony up some real $$$.

Well I'd send it, if I don't have to pay the shipping back and forth. I'm not spending any more money on this endeavor. Now if everyone matched my "donation", I'd consider it.

I'm amazed at the number of cheap bastards that own an 80K car in this forum. Crap, I'm not wealthy by any stretch, and $200 for an opportunity to get this kind of testing is money well spent. A friggin tank of gas is $50.

$1,650 raised through 19 unique donors. $350 more to go. Question for everyone:

Once we reach $2,000 should we cut off donations and start the proposed tests/send in the parts? What about those who want to know what the data shows? SOL?

If you guys can manage to keep the data secure from those that haven't contributed to the testing, perhaps a $25 donation to St Jude's via Corvette Forum could get you the test results.

Spin Tron Testing Donation Sent.

I like the St. Jude idea as well, if not St. Jude then another reputable charity.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. No where do you see me saying the testing should not be done. No where! I was addressing Propains valid point about it being kept TOP SECRET as it won't. And I'm not saying anything bad about Katech either. I assume they would do just as they say and recommend the new set up if it looks good on their spintron testing. So if I call Jason and ask him for his advise on my new heads he is going to tell me what he recommends and likely out right tell me the spintron data to support his recommendations.

So I am not against testing, or Katech, or anyone who is supporting this testing. I'm just suprised that some of you think the data results will not come out in one way or another.

Thank you. Thats all I was trying to say.

These guys should be paying their money for the testing they want to see. And they should be generously sharing it with the whole community just as every other member who post up info or experiences in one way or another does.

The results will be known so you guys should embrace that reality and be magnanimous about it.

I like to st. Jude idea
I too think the information will come out one way or another. But I think it will come out in general and in order to get the dyno graphs and plots and exact information you should have to donate.

I was sure this thread would end up with the bickering as usual. If only people could ignore posts that they don't agree with or like, stay on the subject and not stir it.

Ok guys back on track. Everyone had their say now. In unrelated news:

Were at $1,800! Just $200 to go! I like charity idea. But I'd say more than $25 for the results. What do you think?
