So, it looks like I dodged the bullet. I wonder if it had one more session in it. I'll be getting it back just in time for the NCM VIR HPDE.

Take some time to get used to it, I make similar power and the difference is more than you think.
1st and 2nd gears are worthless on the street above 1/2 throttle, with newer Pilot SS tires.
You will need a tire upgrade if you're not already running good tires, otherwise you'll be fishtailing all over the place.
You'll enjoy it, but it does take some time getting used to.

Probably because I prayed a lot and held my breath every time I did a track session. I finally decided prayer would last only so long and I'm getting too old to hold my breath so I sent it to Jason. Besides, it takes a lot of the fun out of it if you're constantly thinking in the back of your mind that it's about to grenade.

Well keep in mind, lots of cars grenade at the track. Last time I was at Sebring at a Chin event, 2 cars grenaded on Saturday alone, neither were even American made. Sprechen Sie Boom??

Believe me, I know.
Participated in the NCM VIR HPDE last Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures were in the mid 90s, a few degrees cooler than the last 2 years. The new Dewitts radiator kept the water and oil temps about 30 degrees cooler than what I was seeing last year and the Katech oil pump is showing about 20 more pounds of pressure than the stock pump when cold. The car pulls noticeably harder than stock. Now I need to invest in bigger brakes and slicks!

Three Z06s blew last year at the NCM VIR event. Last week, someone oiled down the inside of Turn 1 with, I was told, a ZR1. When the event was over Tuesday, I was able to drive mine in the trailer one more time thanks to Katech!

I went 2 days with NCM Sebring and not a single Z06 blew. One base C6 blew, but that was the only car in 2 days. He blew going into a corner that I suspect he downshifted too early and over revved.
You can knock the Vettes all you want, but you have to remember that the vast majority of these are being driven by total amateurs that really have little business being out there running as hard as they do.
No one ever admits they blew the engine because of a DA attack.
No matter what you say, with the exception of the valve guides, these are some seriously bulletproof cars.
