ATI balancer worth the money?
I am working on my engine and i could place a ATI balancer on the Katech engine.
Is it worth the money and what advantage does it have on the stock one?

I think so. That or Innovators west. Stock ones are prone to failure.

It's a preventative maintenance item. No increase in performance, just going with a higher quality component than stock with the idea that you're possibly preventing a failure.
Unless you go for an underdrive unit, which will free up 3-5hp, but may have other complications (do some research into the specifics).
I would not just replace it for fun unless the existing balancer was failing. But I would (did) replace the balancer if I was also replacing the cam since they all go in about the same time.

Drifting
If building up a track use engine go with what the builder wants, Katech knows there stuff.
I run an ATI 10% UD on my car that sees road course track duty.
It seems to be a very well made product, and as I have a cam my idle is slightly higher than stock. Like the idea of running power steering pump slower.
No belt problems using shorter belt, replaced as my stock one was starting to wobble and I was doing cam and heads anyway.
