Wow. It took me about that long but I did it by myself. If you are having a machine shop do that work, they probably don't have a very high priority on it. Where they shipping the heads off to the moon?

Got my car built there last time minus the heads and it was 2 weeks. Had only a cam/TC/Headers etc.

Heads were shipped to WCCH for this build.

Depends how long they are waiting on the heads for. 7-8 weeks is insane. I had my reworked locally and on the car within 1 week. Took me 2 days to do my cam by myself.

Mine was out for about 17 days I think. I took it in with 99% of the parts. He waited a few days to clear up a lift and then he was on it, waited for pushrods and I picked it up the same day we street tuned it.

I could understand if the heads were needed to be shipped and would take 2 wks maybe 3 wks tops to get them back. Pushing close to 2 months on the build is insane.

I know for a fact Richard is slammed with all the guys wanting his headwork and porting

But I doubt he would have them more than 3 weeks. You could call his shop directly if you think thats the hangup.

I could see that kind of time frame depending on how long WCCH turn around is right now. I know when I inquired it was 3-4weeks for the heads then you need to figure a week shipping each way. That right there puts you at 6 weeks and that's assuming that the heads were removed and shipped the first couple days the car was at the shop.

I was told less than a week for heads, headers, cam, and tuning....but that is vengeance racing saying they also keep wcch heads in stock as much as they can.
I hope they have a set ready when my car goes in.

My H/c. Int.exh. took about 2 wls. Not counting the wait for mast heads. But so far the worst decision I've made was trying to get a set of Jesel solid sportsman rockers for mast heads. After they sent the wrong set, and weeks of waiting its T&D now. Hope it's not a repeat performance.

That is crazy. I had Race Proven Motorsports do a supercharger, headers and the exhaust valves and had it back in less than 2 weeks. They tuned it also and I must say I'm very impressed with them. I guess it is to late to get you car out of that shop but holy **** I would be tempted.. Hope you get it worked out buddy!!

Same here on the less than 2 weeks.

8 weeks is a long time.

Realistically it is 3-4 days at most of actual work (and that is long) so if all parts were there I would expect turn around in a few days. Without knowing part times though, who knows. I waited 4 months on heads so my head/cam job took ~17 weeks first time around because of waiting on heads.

WOW..2 weeks.. I wouldve loved that. Hell id even take 4 wks.

@ 2013-- Its a little too late to pull the car. Home stretch now. Thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel, but NOPE! Its a fluke.

I understand its the beginning of racing season, but the little guy gets sh*t on most of the time.

I was quoted at 3 days if I had all the parts ready to go. 8 weeks is crazy.

Just had mine done. It was gone ~6 weeks or so (Most of that time was spent just waiting for WCCH to get finished with my heads) Had to throw in an extra week because WCCH had an equipment failure and my heads sat on the bench for an extra week.

Took me 6+ weeks to get my heads done. I did work.

One day to pull, 3 days shipping, 5 weeks waiting, 5 days to ship back, 2 to put together.

Quick way is to get a spare set of heads.
