Went 10.20s with H/C/I
So I Took my Z to the track about a month ago and ran 10.23 at 134.9. I only have a handful of clean passes with this setup/car. I previously had shifting issues but its all coming together now. The car has wcch stage 2 heads, Fast 102, flex fuel and a custom spec cam by Matt Gower of GP Tuning (Lt1z). He also did a great job tuning the car.
I think I'll be able to get a little more out of it but will probably have to wait until summer is over since its beginning to warm up here. I did this fairly easy and drove my car 80 miles back home. You can't beat a c6z as far as fast street cars go

Yea I agree. Might not be as easy as running 10.2 but I think 9s na is in this cars future. We might just have to change a few things
It has a halltech cai, and arh 1 7/8 headers
Thanks, I run hoosier 315/35/17s on c5z front wheels and I have the Mcleod RXT clutch

Nice job and a killer 60ft for the west coast. Famoso, Sac or? What rpm are you launching at? The Hoosiers seem to be the ticket. Man, after I get my h/c/i package done we are going to have to race! Good fun.

This was at sac. I think this launch was around 5k. Yea it'll be a good run. Hoping to get into the 9s after a couple changes. But that won't be until later in the year when it cools off

Curious, do the tracks give you the boot for running below 11.50 without a cage? That was the case back in like 07 or 08 when I had my 621 RWHP 2003 Ford SVT Lightning, I ran an 11.42 and they said you're done. Have not taken my Z to the strip yet and have not looked up the current rules. Here is my old beast, she had 10's in her, never got to run the race tune, the 11.42 was on the street tune.

2008+ cars can run 10.0 and 135mph with no cage but it has to be a stock car. Even tires is considered modified

Wildhorse is pretty strict though. They let victor and AJ go 10.5s without a cage but told them to have them next time.

Thanks for the replies, my Z is a 2008 so that works, my car is bone stock and would like to see how she runs down the 1/4 mile one of these days.
