Corvette Mechanic in Jacksonville, FL
Hey All,
I recently moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and am in need of a mechanic who has expertise in working on C6 Z06's. Any contact info would be greatly appreciated.
Here's the problem - about a mont ago I noticed a clicking sound when I turn to the right only at a slow speed. I've read on the forum it could be a wheel bearing. I went down to the Chevy Dealer in Savannah, Ga, from where I moved, and they couldn't find anything wrong. So now the clicking is occurring everyday and that's why I need someone here in Jacksonville who knows Vettes.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Doc,
Try EFI Alchemy in Green Cove Springs just West of Jax. I've used them for a few
issues with my 08 Z and have been satisfied. Nice guys, really seem to care and have been fair with me. Surprisingly, there are not many shops in NE Florida ...
Hope that helps, and feel free to pm me for more info if you'd like. Welcome to Jax !

Retorque the axle nuts first. Could be that simple.

I will recommend EFI Alchemy too, Doc and Jeff are great. They installed headers in my Z06 last year and they did a very good job, they also dyno tune it.

Could also be end links...
If you do look into the axle nuts, I'd just replace them. I've had much better luck going that route than trying to retorque the old ones. JMO

If you are willing to head south a little bit, I highly recommend XP Motorsports. Bob and company will treat you right.
