Speed/No-Lift Shifing !!!
Do you ?
Have you ?
I myself have never tried it with this car, Im over 500rwhp (not sure if that matters) and stock clutch.
Curious to the Pro's and Con's and also
want to hear from the People who partake in this regularly

The clutch pedal staying on the floor is actually the clutch fluid overheating, not the clutch itself. But it is true that the stock clutch is weak and easily burnt even on street tires.

I do it at the track but I have my neutral rev limiter lowered down so it's not revving so high, basically copied what they did from the factory on the newer cars that came with the no lift shift feature. I did it lots on the stock clutch without problems too, it was getting off the line that the clutch hated.

Safety Car
Done it dozens of times on the 2/3 and 3/4 shift on road courses when going for the last few 1/100ths of a second. Stock clutch, 51,000 miles, 565 rwhp. Clutch pedal has never stuck to the floor and clutch has never slipped.

In a 1/4 mile run, doing it on the 1-2 ans 2-3 will cause more tirespin, which will slow your 1/4 mile time.
Doing it on the 3-4, since you are already very close to your top MPH and traveling so fast, doesn't really help....

No. I always considered it to be a good way to break something, with no real upside. Especially back in the day (when rev limiter was valve float or rod strength ).
For one, the gear speeds are going to be wildly mismatched (if you've ever shifted a non-synchonized transmission, you'll understand), so I'd think that the burden on the synchros will be astronomical compared to what they were designed for.
And of course you'll bounce off the rev limiter, which may not be all that well-behaved on some engines (on the LS7 I am not sure exactly how it functions), so the engine may experience some undue stress if ignition is interrupted intermittently (big time shock load on rods and crank).
So, no... I always considered it to be a good way to break something

Supremacy 1 car at a time
doing it all the time since I am using the tick performance master cylinder lives is good and the cars are running so well, tried it on C5Z, T/A and now it's will be on my C6Z this thing works well and worth the money.

I have no lift shifted for years and have never blown a trans or broke a clutch. If your trans/clutch is beefy like mine your more than likely not gonna break anything. Its worth a 1/10 sec if not more IMO.

I've always done it, especially on my turbo cars to help keep boost up between shifts. On my Z, I've done it with the stock clutch and I will continue to do it... Running an RPS billet triple carbon clutch now, but the stock held up fine doing it.
I've heard it called power shifting, flat shifting, and a few others... It's all the same

This is how it was "taught" back in the day for me too. I used to power shift my avatar car when things were serious, if you know what I mean. I've never done it in the Z06 though. Without track tires it might actually slow the car down.

I don't do it and haven't done it in any of my cars. If you speed shift fast enough I can't see the gains being worth it. But I know my speed shifting its above average
