About what I expected, congrats.

FI cars need a lot more power to outrun NA cars. That coupled with the weight of the Z, just makes it a great combo. I run neck and neck with my friends ZR1s, but they all put down 70 hp and 100 ft lb more tq on the same dyno. FI has heat soak, and adds a lot of weight. STill, those shelbys are respectable cars - and look good too.

They don't have the same gear ratios.

Anyways, traction is key.

Exactly. Different rear gear, different tire height, and different 2nd gear.

I wasn't talk about the rear axel and the tires height, was talking about the gear ratios and as you can see it's almost the same!!

Did you even read anything the OP has posted or did you just blindly post after the race was over?

shelby moods are:
Jlt 127mm
ford racing 65mmtb
LT
10% lower pulley
2.4 Upper pulley
Idloer
tuned on Pump gas 98 octane.

car made 737whp.

at the same dyno I made 608 and I'll try my luck since it's a friendly race not sure if ill do it so I'll drive the car all the way to the dyno to check if everything is well, all have a chance to test the car before installing the new goodies.

anyone can suggest the results I'll be welcoming..

BTW it's will be high roll race.

I'm sure he does, in all honesty I was just poking fun at him.

I own a LS with a D1sc, so I'm well versed on them.

I happened to mix this thread up with another that had an NA car. I guess I'll just leave the forum since I made a mistake.

I know, I wasn't butt hurt about it. Was just making a point some of us dabble and don't indulge entirely in every thread. This isn't Jalopnik with a bunch of assclowns running their mouths, 99% great people in here.

But rear end and tire height multiply all the ratios so that very much matters, and even then the tranny gears aren't even the same so saying they have the same gearing isn't even close to correct.

That is like saying my wife's Hyundai is a 6 speed with a 1:1 4th so it is geared the same as a z06. If you take out final drive, tire height and a few other gears that don't match it does.

It will only be worse as heat soak kicks in even more

2nd gear difference in trans is minuscule and the taller tires of on the Ford combined with the 3.73 rear gears make the overall gearing almost identical to the C6Z with shorter 3.42 rearend
