Default OEM ZRI wheels vs. Knockoff ZR1 wheels?

anyone had a chance to compare the real deal to the fakes? I want gloss black ZR1s sooo bad but im not sure how well the knockoff wheels are made and if the fitment is any good. Are the widths and offsets IDENTICLE? I see some people claiming to sell new GM OEM wheels on Ebay and other various websites but I just don't know if I should take it for granted. I feel like its BS. If youre rocking the knock off ZR1 wheels on your Z06 with the same specs as the factory wheels post pics and opinions please.

buy oem, forget the knockoffs......too many stories of easily breaking or warping, or even difficulty in balancing

I had the knockoffs---had none of the above problems--only problem is the weight--heavier than OEM's

There's a vendor here that sells them pretty cheap too...I think his screen name is Docz?

Maybe someone can verify...

Bobs House of Wheels, Forum vendor, sells both, I purchased a factory replacement rim from him, very easy to deal with, no problems.

Heavier knockoff rims ruin your ride quality. And if you hit a pothole they are more fraile. My powdercoater tells me when he saw my oem Z06 wheels he was very impressed by their quality!

Some of the knock off ZR1 wheels don't has the same depth of the front dish as the OEM and they just don't look right.

Get the real deal. They're a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for IMO. Wheels is something you don't want to go cheap on and OEM is better quality than most aftermarket wheels.

I have the knock offs in stock size and they look great, balanced fine, and haven't had any problems. Granted, they are heavier, but compared to oem 19/20 zr1 wheels, there's only a few pounds total difference.

I have less of a problem with the weight of knockoffs as I do with the quality of them that you won't see until they crack. If you do any high performance driving I would recommend the OEM wheels. Don't skimp on safety, that is a bad place to experience a failure. I have seen numerous knockoff wheels fail over the years, luckily no injuries.

Shucks, I got excited for minute and thought somebody was actually making real "Knock Off" wheels for the ZR1.
