Default fresh h/c results

I joined in on a local dyno day this weekend and thought I'd share. Mods are cam, ported and milled heads, halltech intake and gutted stock cats with the muffler mod in back, 91 octane, tuned by me.
For comparison sake, on this dyno stock I made 44x hp and last fall before gutting the cats and with my heavy 3 piece vossen wheels it made 505hp.

Without headers? Nice power in either event! I have a slightly smaller cam, but I have headers and ported tb and ported factory intake manifold. Mine made 565/494. Our hp and tq curves look very similar.

Heads were sent to wcch for new guides, ss exhaust valves, porting and milled .045. Still on stock unported tb, intake manifold and exhaust manifolds.

Thanks, it's been running for about a year now. This all happened after I joined the broken valve club a year and a half ago.

That's a hell of a cam. Something like that with exhaust manifolds builds confidence that I could have something similar done, and I was looking at a smaller cam.

Thanks for posting this!

No problem, Its always good to see results of similar setups.
I looked at my specs and I was a little off. Duration is 244/250. I think I can squeeze a little more out of it, afr measured at the tailpipe is about 11.8 across the board and my peak timing is 21 degrees. Good ol 91 octane.

Great results. After the valve drop motor death it is good to see it come back strong. Sucks that you had to go through that but at least the car is badass now. One of the nicest in the state for sure.

Thanks nick! I wish I had just I little more cash at the time, it wouldn't have cost much more to get a stroker kit.
I'm excited to hit the track and see what it picks up.

Should go bottom 11s or high 10s easy enough with you driving.

I'd be thrilled to go that fast. My goal is to beat my old cars time of 11.1@127 but that car made just over 750rwhp.

Was it a school bus or did you granny it off the line? I'd expect a 750rwhp car to trap at or over 140...

More like the track out here usually has a DA above 6000 feet. That kinda kills stealar times.

It was an lt1 trans am. That's the joy of living in the mountains. Actual elevation is about 4500 but the da typically is between 6 to 9000 and the track prep Sucks.
