Default CD Player Locked Up

I have a 2006 Z-06. I inserted 2 discs in the player today and they locked up. The player indicates that it is trying to load disc 6. It will not play, load, or eject.

Any suggestions on how to get the player unstuck?

The Shop Manual p 11-101 suggests to pull and replace the radio fuse.
So what I did is.
With engine off and accessories off I pulled the toe board and removed the radio fuse. I then replaced the fuse. I turned accessories on. I then hit the CD eject button and
the two CD's ejected. Problem solved.

Wow, great outcome & a handy tip to for those experiencing the same issue to try before a dealer 'visit'.

Was going to agree w/ the above member suggesting you take it in to the dealer, have the allegedly defective head unit swapped with a refurbished one.

Of course doing so would've cost you dough since you sound out-of-warranty. Nice find. Worthy a small celebratory drink, later.

Sometimes the unit gets confused and doesn't know what to do. I suggest eliminating the power source be it the fuse or battery disconnect. Try the fuse first and save whatever settings you might have.
