Default LS7 Dropped a valve.

Just like the title states the Z dropped a valve and basically destroyed the whole engine there were even piston remainders in the intake manifold, also the driver side head is completely destroyed.

I have two options as for the engine rebuild either drop a ls7 back into it or an lsx block. I like the lsx block but i do believe it adds more weight somewhere between 80-100lbs.

So my question is has anyone gone down this road?
I guess i would like more info or advice on the types of builds that go into these cars, but also keeping in mind the wallet aspect of it.

I bought my car with 15k one owner and factor in the heads right away and ended up doing a cam and a few more goodies. When I was looking for price I said to my self 38k plus 3-4k in heads.

Yeah...I had a date set for my build. I'm glad the LS7 decided to corporate with me.

I am taking mine to LMR soon to get the valves measured. Mine is a 06 with 39K miles. Stock but a CAI and removed mufflers.
