ZR1 to Z06 Cup Wheels Fitment question
Hi - looking for confirmation. Interested in getting the OEM satin black 'cup' wheels for my Z, 20" rears, 19" fronts.
Can the following be confirmed:
1) ZR1 wheels fit Z06 but not the other way around
2) These came only on the ZR1, not on the Z06/07 from factory? or if they did, same part numbers??
3) which tpms do I need for my 08 Z. Believe it was a particular color that do 06-09? A part number would be great.
4) There are a couple of recent posts in the ZR1 forum, were these only avail. in the 2012/13 ZR1 or ??
I have a good friend that works for GM that got me his price today, cost plus 10%, deal comes out better than the deal running in the forum currently which means alot with the current exchange and no shipping vs. buying in the u.s. He always gets me his cost price when I need something.
thanks for any help you can give

It would depend on the the set up of your car. from your post if you already have a zr1 setup the the cup rims I the same offset and size would certainly work. If you are going from the 18 setup to a 19/20 I believe it will still work. Tpms remains the same

1. ZR1 wheels (19" front, 20" rear) will bolt right on the Z06. Below are a set of OEM ZR1 wheels on my Z06 - the Cup wheels are the same size:
3. The OE tire pressure sensors are made by Schrader. The 2005-2009 C6 uses a gray peanut shaped sensor, GM part# 25758220 (you can see the part# molded into the sensor in the picture below):
Schrader also makes some that are distributed through sources other than GM, and they are red in color, and the ones for a 2005-2009 C6 are Schrader part# 20076:
There are some other after market sensors made by Oro-Tech and Orange Electronics that reportedly work okay, but some forum members have not had good luck with ones made by Dorman.
After installing new sensors you'll need to register them with the TPMS computer in the car. The 2005-2009 sensors require a TPMS tool in order to trigger them when doing the relearn procedure to log the sensor data into the TPMS computer in the car.

And after you get your TPMS tool, the video below shows how you'll use it to do the relearn procedure to register a new set of sensors into the TPMS computer memory in your car!!
Note the procedure for putting the car into the "learn mode" (ignition in ACC mode, then push and hold both the "lock" and "unlock" buttons on the fob until you get a horn honk), and also note the order of triggering the sensors (Left Front, Right Front, Right Rear, and Left Rear). You must get a horn honk at each wheel or it didn't work (double horn honk at the Left Rear indicating the procedure is complete).
Don't leave the fob in the car and close the door while doing the procedure - you can lock the fob in the car!!

You can get a good deal on new oem cups from docs 1st rate, plus tires and sensors, see their threads or give them a call. I did and am quite happy with my 19/20s
