But if I run the PSS then I will be bumped up in CLASS and have to run against the boys with R6 tires.
As it is I am running against someone with ported heads/tune and PS2 on 19/20 stock wheels. I'm not even sure if that setup is an even bigger advantage that 18/19 ........ didn't check contact patch size ....... but assume is good if on Z07 and ZR1
My only mod is DRM Bilstiens ..........

If I wasn't in the Corvette Challenge you are right I wouldn't even consider them, especially as they are more $$$$

huh? the PS2 ZP faster then a Supersport? I think you misunderstood that conversation especially against a non ZP tire with a better handling and braking rating (straight from there marketing dept)

Howie, the NT-05 has a 200 tread wear rating, the M PS2 has a 220 and the PSS has a 300 wear rating, so it won't bump you up in class over the NT-05.
The M Pilot Sport Cup is an R-compound track/street tire with an 80 wear rating and it would bump you up.
The PSS with a 300 wear rating has more grip than either the NT-05 (200) or the PS2 (220). That is because of its newer high tech design, construction and materials.

I didn't misunderstand and I have it all in writing from a Michelin engineer. I was as surprised as are you by his statement! Keep in mind that the PSS in our stock sizes is a generic tire (and my current favourite street tire BTW!) while the PS2 ZP in the Z06 sizes was engineered and tuned specifically for one chassis.

From the tire test M invited me to 13 months ago, I got the strong impression from their engineers and designers present that each new tire the bring out will be superior in performance to both their competitors' tires and their own tires. In fact at the tire test that was what they were having us confirm. We were even comparing their performance all-season tire to competitors' summer only performance tires, with very good results.
