My sweet LG Z06 just got faster
I bought my 2007 Z06 new. It wasn't long after when I made my first visit to LG Motorsports and had the pleasure of speaking with Anthony and Bobby.
The modifications began with 1 3/4 headers, borla sport mufflers, K&N and a tune.
This past week Anthony added Heads, Cam and Intake. The car made 564rwhp and 523 ft-lbs rwtq. It is very fast and I could not be happier with the setup and customer service I have had over the past 7 years dealing with LG Motorsports.
Here is a complete list of modifications as it sits today as best I can recall.
LG 1 3/4" Longtube Headers
LG Supercool radiator with integrated oil cooler
LG G2 coil overs
LG G1 sway bars (front and rear)
LG bump steer kit
LG remote oil filter and catch can
LG prepped LS7 Heads with stainless steel exhaust valves
LG G7X4 Cam
LG race timing chain
LG brake ducts
LG ZR1 carbon fiber splitter and side skirts
LG world challenge hood
LG tune
ARP hex head bolt kit
Competition 7.800 pushrods for LS
Borla sport exhaust
APR ZR1 rear spoiler
Forgeline SP3P wheels
Stoptech front brake kit
SKF Hubs
ARE drysump oil pan
LPE oil take
Aviaid tank insert
MGW short throw shifter with race ****
Corbra race seat with 6 point harness
Katech belt tensioner
Traqmate data logger w/ video
Harness bar
Centerforce DYAD clutch
Fast LSX-R 102 intake manifold
Fast LS7 fuel rails (OEM style)
Nick Williams 102mm Throttle Body

Nice! Which Borla exhaust do you have on it and how do you like it? The age old question...does it drone much?? I have a similar set-up! Let's see the seats and get a driving video!!

Unfortunately I haven't been to the track in a number of years. I have plenty of old video which I will upload. Many reason for the time off but one of the major factors was I started to get worried about the valve issue. I had many track buddies that were blowing their engines when I decided to take a break.
Anthony and LG have fixed my paranoia with the head swap so now it is time to start having fun again. Besides I bought a 2013 ZR1 a few months back so I have a backup now.

Awesome to have both cars! Thanks for the feedback on the exhaust. How does the Zr1 ride/handling and braking compare to your modded Z06? I have the LG G2's as well.

Bobby and Anthony are great sales guys representing a top notch Company! I have full trust in the workmanship and competence of Team LG!!
Just curious though on your set up.....
With all of what you had done, is that a standard increase in HP and TQ for a 427? 76 HP / 58 TQ?
When they did my C5 FRC set up going from stock block to a 402 with AFR 225s, FAST 102, FAST 90mm TB, G6X3, Pro Longtubes, B & Bullets, I went from approximately 326 rwhp to 505 rwtq and 495 rwhp, a significant jump on both ends approximately 170 more HP/TQ.....
Am, I missing something here? I am debating whether or not to go NA route again on the 2013 Z or test the waters on Forced Induction, and your thread praising Team LG rekindled the mod bug.
BTW, your ride looks awesome!!!

Well the ZR1 only has 600 miles. I don't think that the brakes are any better than the stoptechs. The ride on the ZR1 is much softer given the magnetic ride system. The Z06 has been evolving into more of a track car and I imagine that it will smoke the ZR1 around the track. It has more HP, better suspension and weighs about 400lbs less.
