I just had my 2009 3LZ Z06 stolen from the front of my apartment in Oakland, CA. It has a B&B exhaust and split 5-spoke black chrome rims. License plate: 6SGB727. If anyone sees it, please call the local PD. Thank you very much all. Such a sad day.

Darn....Waste of time calling the Oakland P D though. We have had stolen cars show up in neighborhoods. It takes the OPD a day or more to arrive.
Will keep an eye out and notify the private security patrol.

I'm thinking a tow truck too.

With needing the key FOB to start it, it sounds like professionals as opposed to amateurs.

Hope he gets it back, but like you say, the parts, especially the engines, being in somewhat of demand, I'm surprised that we don't see more of it too.

Other thing you have to consider is if they are planning on boxing it up and shipping it overseas.

Hope his insurance covers it if he doesn't get it back.

Sorry for your loss.... that just sucks. I agree with others on tow truck. I locked both key fobs in my car and a lock smith could not get in it, had to have Dealer cut me a key...
enough about me tho. Have PD check any cameras in the area, maybe they will come up with something. I would say they know there job but its just a another car to them. Have you read the book Corvette Odyssey about a 63 vette stolen. He had to find it himself so I say if you have the time.... its all upto you. Good Luck...

Ohh my!! That's so sad to hear! I hope they catch those POS bastards and bring them to justice! I've been to many countries overseas and I know some that will give you a death penalty for such a offense!

Called them. They said that if I don't have an active account, they can't track it. I'd have to reestablish the connection manually by hitting the onstar button inside the car...

It's crazy in Oakland right now...A friend of mine posted some pics on Facebook of 2 abandoned SS Camaros, both with the entire drivetrain and interior stripped, sitting side-by-side on the street....I couldn't believe how many people were commenting on the pics, saying that their car had been stolen, or that they knew of someone else who had their car stolen too....There's gotta be a crew running through the Bay Area right now...
