Default Got the Z back from the shop

Got my car back last night from Quality Motorsports in Lewisville, Tx. Car made 525/480. Putting on the AR long tube headers and X pipe sure did wake it up. I was looking for a little more throaty sound and I got it....lol. The cam gives is a nice lope, drivability is still nice. Thanks to Patrick and Eason for taking good care of my car and getting it done quickly. Also, no more worried about dropping a valve. SS exhaust valves and bronze guides.

What cam did you end up going with? Almost identical to my Katech 116 numbers! 525/491

I'll chime in for him, its a QM custom grind cam.. 22* / 23* 114 LSA not sure about lift. To me it has a little more lope but overlap is slightly smaller than the 116

Thanks Dustin. Havent heard from QM on specs yet.

Thanks everyone. It does have a pretty good lope to it. Really haven't got to drive it yet...its been raining here.

Awesome results, what all did you have done? I am eagerly waiting to finally let QM get a hold of my Z. I am hoping I can take it to them after the beginning of the year .

If it's the same cam we have then the lift is nearly .660 on both sides. Numbers seem pretty low for heads and that cam.

I just had the heads done with new SS exhaust valves and bronze guides. No porting or milling. Had the cam (???) installed and a set of American Racing headers.

They told me it probably would have gone 540, but he said it was a conservative tune.

I am happy. I was not looking for big numbers, just better a better sound. I got it...lol.

It's not the same cam.. he was looking at the tourqer 116 so pat just threw in a custom grind that's slightly smaller than that but still has some lope. He made 474 on baseline with CAI. Headers w/cats, no port work or mill on heads just refreshing, and the small cam tuned conservative on 91 netted 525/481.
His overall goal was just piece of mind and added sound
Your video works but did you have the phone upside down from excitement..? It makes me dizzy lol

Yeah, it works.

Sounds good, But the most important thing, and what sounds even better, is what you say below.

The peace of mind in no longer having the same worry about that, is no doubt worth it all.
