Stock Z06 with DRs 10.78 @ 129.4 New PB
New PB in my 09 Stock Z06. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps0f3e4b7e.jpg
Drove the car to and from the Mir track rental for total of 1050 miles . Best was 10.78 also ran 10.79 10.82 10.88 and some 90s. Never made a pass that the car didnt bog some. Still some left on the table but I think I am done for now. Pretty pleased.
Special thanks to Gary and the crew at the Mir track rental. Got to put faces with names and meet a bunch of cool peeps. There were some sick fast cars and a lot of personal best had. Thanks again!

Keith,
That was some fantastic driving. You have mastered the launch, tamed the TQ management, and had spot on shifts. It is extremely difficult to get those results. Congrats. Great to have met you and Casey. You are both great drivers.

Thanks Gary, That means a lot brother. Congrats on your bad a$$ runs too! 9.97 is just unreal for a bolt on car. Hats off sir! Thanks for putting on an awesome rental.

Nothing special: short burnout, launch rpms 3500-4000, slow clutch release to keep bog minimal. It takes practice and the clutch speed release is the key. To fast and it falls on its face. To slow and you will glaze the clutch. Try to keep the front end in the air. Hope that helps some.

I'm amazed that the stock clutch holds up at the track. Just the smallest amount of slip gives you some burnt smell. Maybe the 6060 tranny is better than the 06'-07' ones.

Stock clutch will take a lot of abuse at stock level. It doesnt like to be slipped though. Tranny really doesnt make any difference.
