Trans issue after rebuild and mantic 9000
Alright guys need some help/advice.... 08 Z
Long story short, my second gear took a crap after heads/cam/exhaust. Pulled the trans and took it to a local trans guy and had it rebuilt with the "latest" parts. While I had the trans out I went ahead and installed a mantic 9000 clutch. Got the trans back and put everything back together and ran into an issue.
The shifter is popping out of first gear. It almost feels as if it doesn't engage or go all the way in to first. Every other gear including reverse feels ok.
If you put it in first and let the clutch go sooner and it bucks a bit it'll kick it out instead of stalling out. The new clutch grabs pretty good so I'm getting used to it.
If I let clutch out slow and kinda slip it itll stay in first but it shouldn't pop out if I let the clutch out too soon
Anyone ever have similar issues?

Syncro/blocker assembly would be my first guess. The 2008 cars should have a TR6060 in them and I believe they use a ball and socket style instead of the keys to hold it into gear....could be that isn't assembled right.
If you can not adjust it from the shifter box, I think the trans is going to have to come out.
