I use a bottle of Techron after 3 tanks of fuel as a preventative measure. Can't hurt.

I occasionally use Techron, but wouldn't use anything else.

Even though I use top tier gasoline(Conoco) I run a 20 oz. bottle of Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus through the car every six months, both in my Z06 and my DD.

I stock up when ever I run a cross a 2 for 1 sale at the auto parts stores.

Techron actually solved my fuel gauge problem in my C5.

I use a bottle of techron about once every 6 months and switched to shell/chevron gas only. After scraping a large amount of carbon buildup off of my pistons (when redoing the heads after 26k miles), I decided to stop using cheap gas and to try to better-maintain my internal engine parts.

I'll let you know after 50k miles if it still looks good

I started running Shell VPower fuel exclusively, when I ran pump gas. Even then, I would throw a bottle of Techron in the tank every 6 months or so...cheap insurance.
Now, I'm on E85, so no need

Another vote for Techron. I'm not a big believer in magic in a bottle but this is good stuff. Prevents sulfation of the fuel sender and keeps injectors clean. I use about 3 bottles a year with a fillup.

When I lived in Anchorage our Land Rover mechanic recommended we only use Chevron fuel and said it was easy to tell which engines used Chevron vs off brands. He showed me head and intake systems from two different Land Rovers, one ran Chevron and one didn't and the difference was night and day. Chevron is hard to find in Northern VA, so now I run Shell and a bottle of Techron every other tank. You can by Techron at Costco in a six pack at a good price.

Yet another vote for Techron Concentrate Plus (20 g). Looking back in my records, I've used 5 treatments in the last year (roughly every 1k - 2k miles since I started using it. Tried Lucas before that). I only use Chevron gas and have one only a mile from my home. Every now and then I go inside and buy a bottle.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, But what do you guys think of Valero gas? I used to go to the Chevron down the road, But they built a brand new Valero even closer to my apartment, and the 93 octane is about .20-.30/gal cheaper than Chevron.
