Default 84,500 miles LS7 Z06 HEADS

I had the heads on my 2007 Z06 with 84500 miles switched today at Loud Pedal Motor sport's. I opted to have them send out a set of OEM LS7 heads they have to reduce down time. Stainless exhaust valves all work done at WCCH. Lunati Dual Valve springs, ARP head bolts. About as basic as it gets since I plan to keep this car stock aside from CAI and B&B fusion.

Pretty much a one day job at Loud Pedal and Steve and the crew were great. My old heads with 83,000 miles did not pass the wiggle test according to GM spec but I was told they were no where near the worst they had seen.

So, I am glad I did the work for peace of mind, but I do think a gambler could have ran the original heads a little longer without issue.

We're in the same boat, buddy. I plan to do intake/tune on top of my WCCH heads. Plus, it's fun to pass guys with more power in the turns LOL

Glad you got some peace of mind! Cheers!

Wow, so Lunati dual valve springs as opposed to the Brian Tooley Platinum cuals.

Interesting.

At any rate, congrats on getting it back on the road and the heads refreshed.

I had zero preference on the springs......I went with whatever they told me they had. You seem to have a much better understanding. What is the difference?

Well my motor blew up at 87K so maybe you pulled the trigger at the right time

SSSMoke/QuickSilver I am told there was some price increases and that these springs needed to be used in order to keep the estimate in line.

Lunati sounds fancier?
