Default K+N 63-3080 Air Intake

Does anyone have any experience with the K+N 63-3080 air intake? Hate to throw 700 bucks away but it looks pretty promising.

1. You will need a tune to benefit (warranty gone)
2. Depending on the power level you are at it might not give you much

If you just port your stock snout with a 2.6 pulley installed then I have used an attack blue filter in the stock airbox with great results for much less $$. You can get a ported snout with pulley plus the filter and pay for the install as the same money you would spend on the K&N by itself. But the gains would be about 70rwhp/70rwtq with a tune. Also, I recommend TR7IX plugs when increasing the boost for protection against detonation - stock number 3690 at your local auto parts store.

Cheers!

Thank you very much. That's solid information. I already have an Attack Blue filter installed in my stock airbox.

then don't waste your money, throw 700$ toward pulley/headers you'll make mid 6's to the wheels!!!

EDIT: those intakes are discontinued anyway!!

That certainly seems to be the consensus.
