Bridgestones for runflats; Michelin PSS for non-runflats.

All these tires are $$ but we can be thankful we're not having to replace the Michelins on a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse which cost $42,000 per set (forty two thousand dollars).

...and replace the wheels every other tire change at much more $

Few of us have to worry about that problem, however

OP, one of the recnet posts had the forum member get the stock size PSS for around $1300 which was a fantastic deal.

I have both PSS and NT-05's. The SS are much better in the rain, dry grip and tread life. Bridgestone RFT's and PS2 RFT's are a great choice if you must have RFT's

I did the nitto 345 drag radial. The car launches pretty sick.

I believe the widest RE11 is not wide enough for a z06

I've been trying to decide between 18" R888s or 19" Sport Cups as a triple purpose (street/track/50 punch) tire

I'm running RE-11s on my Z06 in stock sizes (275/18 and 325/19). R888s don't exist in those sizes.

I don't see the RE-11 offered in the rear size?

Maybe LUDEDUDE had a custom rear set of RE-11's made, or he put 150 PSI of air into the 305/30-19's they do make as their largest size?

From what I saw on TR, they don't even make them in the stock C6 sizes for the front.

They're not on the website but are available from certain distributors. For example, tire exchange here in las vegas stocks them for us. We run them on the two ride cars at work as well.

Some online searching turns up a few places.

I love how you guys are so quick to assume that just because YOU never heard of something it doesn't exist.

I like them a lot. They're faster than RS3s (not on the vette before someone gets cranked up again lol) and stand up to heat better as well. We've run just about every street tire out there available on the Z06s and these are the favorites by far.

I wish there were more streetable R compound choices out there beyond MPSCs as I'd really like to run R888s or NT01s if I could but for a street tire it's my number one choice.

Thanks for review...how would it compare to PSS?

I agree about more choices in R compound streets...wish more were available. I'm looking for a nice set of track tires to drive to and from the track. Got caught in rain last time so don't want to roll out in full slicks.

I've personally never driven the PSS so no help there. It gets good reviews too but almost no one knows about the RE11 fitment so not a lot of cross-comparisons that I'm aware of.

We run the RE11s on just about all the exotics and we have our choice of anything we want since we buy them (not sponsored). If the Michelins were better we'd likely run those but that's a subjective statement on my part.

Not to disagree...but I literally just watched an entire special on the making of the Bugatti. Yes the tires are hand made and only last 6K miles, but a replacement set was quoted as $17,000 on this particular documentary. But yes, we can all be thankful we don't have to pay that stupid crazy price.

And my vote in the thread is the NT05. I can burn through two sets before I equal the price of one set of PSS's which means double the mileage for half the cost and a negligible trade-off in performance. Personally, I don't think anyone could tell the difference without sophisticated equipment or lap times. I certainly couldn't when the Gallardo 560-4 I drove was equipped with them...I think I would've actually preferred the NT05's. I found the limit of the PSS's to be quite easy to reach. To their defense, they were being hot lapped, so they could have been on the hot side.
