C7 looks?
I just got my new issue of Motor Trend and it has the new C7 Corvette on the cover and an article inside. I know they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I think the styling of the new C7 SU___CKS AS__S. I think the C6 Z06 is the last beautiful Vette (GS just copied the body). Just my opinion and let the bashing begin, I have big shoulders. I know it is suppose to be the best Corvette ever made and all of that but the thing is just BUTT UGLY. Come on Chevrolet. Even the new Viper came through for those guys.

Well, the C3 was the last good looking Vette.
The C4 was pretty blah. Would make a good model for a bar of soap.
The C5 had that huge butt on it.
The C6 has those bug eye headlights, and they don't even retract. That's pretty much an abomination (no retractable headlights) but the widebody versions (Z06, etc) do have nice curves on the rear quarterpanels. And at least it has round tail lights...
As far as the C7 goes, it's a damn nice looking Camaro

I like some things about the C7 and some things I just can't stand. I like the interior and the design from the side. I do feel like the front section fascia should have been lowered down a tad but hopefully that will be added to a hp version.
I think the rear is kinda out of place due to the lines and the half painted section ( I hope gm paints the entire section for the hp version or how about some carbon fiber option to boot). The wide body should hopefully fix the awkward lines, but for right now Ill keep my C6Z

front bumper and rear bumper are horrible imo.. i like the functional vents and blk contrast but parts look overdone.. the inside is killer..
ill be keeping my c6z for the next 4yrs at least..

According to the fanbois in the C7 section, everyone is in love with the C7's looks, except for you and me. Two trillion to two. Not good odds for us.

Pictures don't do it justice. To me, the body lines just don't come out in the pictures. See what you think after you walk around one. GM had some C7s at the NCM's VIR HPDE the end of June. I like the head lights better than the C6's. I had doubts about the tail lights but after seeing them, they look wicked when lit. They're not round but they don't look like a Camaro's either. The interior is a vast improvement. I've owned every model except a C1 and they all look good to me - just different. There'll be a C7 Z06 (or equivalent) sharing the garage with my C6Z as soon as I can get one.

I was also at the NCM HPDE at VIR in June where there were 3 C7 coupes, a torch red, cyber grey and nightrace blue. After spending a lot of time around the cars they definitely grow on you, but I will keep my Cyber/Grey Z06, at least for now.

I think they look better (I wasn't there) when pictured sitting next to a C6 as they were there.
I like the C7. Now it is not as classic as a C2 or a C3, but I also like the C4, and accepted the C5 (Z) because that was the best handling car I have ever had or likely ever will have even though it was only OK looking. The C6 never thrilled me except the WBs. It is the 427 that thrills me. I would never call a C6Z06 beautiful, more like purposeful.

Looking at pics doesn't really show the true feel of the car. I think it's a homerun from a design aspect.

I have not seen one in person, but the rear is not going to go away. I just don't like it. GM was told by many that the rear sucked, but they went ahead with it. We will see if any heads roll someday over that great decision.
I have no intentions of stepping up to a C7.

C7 to me looks pretty bold and agressive and cool until you see any part of the rear end, which is so freaking disguting looking that it kills the entire car for me. The rear end just flat out does not fit the rest of the lines on the car and is just plain BUTT Ugly! Its like the GM designer ran out of time and as an afterthough just slapped on that but ugly (entire) rear end.
Even the horizonal retainer looking piece that runs horizontal acroos the front bumper of the car looks stupid also. Also, the car should have made 500 HP. I mean come on, the Viper has made 500 HP since 2003 (for over 10 FREAKING years), the 2013 Mustang GT 500 makes 668 HP, and a brand new 2014 7th Generation Vette (C7) Stingray can't even make 500HP, pretty pathetic if you ask me.

C7 definitely has one of the fugliest rear ends of any decent car around. It is so out of character in every way.
The rest including inside is quite exquisite and as good as anything in the world.
But aaarrrrrgggggghhhhhh that rear
WTF were they drinking?
