i think the c6 z will have a similar cult following as the evo 8/9 community. drag racing records are always being broken for that car even when you cant think of what else can be done. Im surprised the corvette community (i see with american cars in general) isnt as big on lightening/stripping/gutting/chopping cars for racing purposes. loosing a few hundred pounds will for sure make more records happen

For me, "what's next at the dragstrip ?" will be an assualt on the bottom 10's using the Katech Torquer 110 cam

A recent outing to the track in Tucson was the first time I've run the car since the h/c/i/e install. Unfortunaetly, I was on street tires and road race configuration for a HPDE at Inde Motorsport the following morning, but it was still was an entertaining night trying to corral the car and get it down the track LOL.

+7000 DA, 102 degrees, sub 29.00" baramoter, street tires, absolutely zero traction for the first 330', wasn't expecting much.

launch at 1700 RPM and walk it out to 120+ feet, then WOT. Heavy wheel spin, wheel hop on the 1-2 shift, then the tires would catch up with the car and pull hard the rest of the way.

Best of 1.94 60' , 7.6@102 at the 1/8th, 11.2@129 .
I'm very exited to see what's going to happen in cool air, low DA,and in drag config with drag radials....if the track will let me run without a rollbar.

Really glad to hear you're on the road to recovery and getting out there again FNBAD. I hope you can reach those goals and see the potential of the road course cam. Keep us all updated as you go. I didnt recall what HP/TQ did the car make? Dyno graph? By all means post in here as this thread is to get the excitment back into the C6Z section and get others out there going FAST.

I'm on E85 now
I thought of adding meth solely for the IAT's in the summer time, but reality set in as I realistically only drag race during the cooler months at the drag strip. If I was more of a roll racer, I'd probably plumb her for meth for use during the summer time, as roll racing is a year round sport here

I think it has the power, and clutch, to go sub 10.50's at 135,
given that I ran a 10.84@129 with 1000 DA and only a CAI/DR ....stock tune, OEM clutch with 68K on it .

Car made SAE 570/550 on the LPM Dynojet I always use.

What did it make prior to the H/C? Was it on E85 then?

On the same dyno, I made a max of 484/450 with a 50/50 race/pump gas mix, ZR1 x-pipe and mufflers, and the MF103..everything else stock, down to the tune, back in November.
