Default when I close the door the auto-window will not go back up any ideas?

My vette just came out of storage, and after 7 months for some reason when I close the drivers door the window won't go up to seal closed. If I get in the car and close the window it will go all the way, and when I open the door from leaving the seat it will drop, but won't go back up when the door is closed...any ideas?

Turn accessory on, hold both window buttons up for 3 seconds let go for a couple seconds then hold them up again for 3 seconds. This re programs them. Done.

This is the first thing I had to do to my car when I got it home. At first I thought it was screwed up and wasn't too happy since I purchased the car from an out of state dealer. Then I remembered my dad always telling me about having to reset the auto indexing on my moms '01 Jaguar XK whenever the battery went dead. Quick look in the manual and I had it reset in seconds. I'm sure it would confuse the heck out of most people who have never dealt with something like this before or don't use a forum to ask questions.

Yea my wife is taking care of my 07 Z while I'm deployed(2 days left) and after her breaking the news of my battery going dead she then tells me my windows won't roll all the way up... Needless to say I flipped a lid but I think she called the dealer and that's what they told her to do. Appearently it's common after a battery dies or is very low.

Sounds like you would be well served by hooking up a battery tender to keep it charged. I use a Junior Tender and although I got it for my motorcycle, it works fine for my cars.

BTW, thanks for your service.

And you'll have to redo the resetting of the indexing every time you disconnect, then reconnect the car battery.

And in case you missed it, this procedure is in every C6 owner's manual.
